Unless window coverings are laminated to the glass - like Mylar solar control films are.. drapes,, curtains.. blinds.. just build up heat behind them & between the glass. This solar gain - solar heat (100wpersqft/perhr). this warm/hot air rises up to the ceiling and if any fan is in the room, is drawn away from window. this allows more air to come into the (passive solar collector) any drape, curtain, blind & over heat or solarize the room.. The answer is to first apply solar control films on the glass- to reject up to 85% of incoming solar gain/heat from even coming in through window. Huge,, even huger difference & it should be on every glass window in all country's B-4 drapes, curtains or them "Blind" ya things... Non-electric A/C is what solar films are ... solargord in Canada's South Okanagan Valley dessert -- where solar films R everywhere... I have 35 years of installing solar films on over 100 major buildings... it is what is needed to shut down A/C systems -- big time..

Whatta loada Garbage. Man you are so far behind the times. Sticking plastic film on windows and giving it a fancy name ain't the answer.
