If BO addressed me in that fashion, I would slap him.

Outspoken Clinton pitbull Geraldine Ferraro used the very same term "Sweetie" when talking to a host on FOX recently!
She called him sweetie. Listen.

Michelle Obama thesis - "I have found that at Princeton, no matter how liberal and open-minded some of my white professors and classmates try to be toward me, I sometimes feel like a visitor on campus; as if I really don't belong. Regardless of the circumstances underwhich I interact with whites at Princeton, it often seems as if, to them, I will always be black first and a student second."
Princeton? The same Princeton that's in New Jersey? Talk about chip on her shoulder. This woman went mad a looooong time ago.
More thesis second grade babble: "Blacks may be more comfortable with Whites as a result of a greater amount of exposure to Whites in an academic setting while at Princeton. Attending Princeton has probably forced the respondents to compete intellectually with they Whites have more than with Blacks more and, thus, with probably become familiar Whites intellectually, but in other activities they are not likely to have gained familiarity with Whites if they did not spend time with Whites in other activities besides intellectual ones. As a result of this greater sense of comfort felt by respondents with groups with whom they have spent more time, more respondents will be interested in benefiting these particular groups in comparison to others. Thus, the variable measuring time spent with Blacks or Whites will also influence the dependent variable measured by the respondents' motivation to benefit various social groups."
Talk about run on sentence, racial divide preaching nonsense! That's Michelle Obama in a nutshell...oh yeah, almost forgot that we're all poor, jobless and hateful "that's America in 2008"

So is Obama white or black? Or does he just play to the audience like Hillary does? Oh, and is this the sweety they keep talking about:
Curious minds want to know.

Was Ferraro addressing a man or a woman? It makes a difference. A woman calling a man "sweetie" doesn't marginalize him, because this society is based on the mistaken assumption that the male is "superior" to the female. Strong women, on the other hand, are often marginalized by men as a way of "keeping them in their place."
BTW, "outspoken pit bull Geraldine Ferraro"? Your choice of words here is a indicator that you have issues yourself with strong women. You might want to look into that, sweetie.

Really? It make a difference huh? Aww the cry of the abused. Give me a break.
BTW: It just shows how weak your position holds up when you choose to attack the poster. It's so easy to make
people like you lose it and play yourself.

I am so sorry, but the word "boy" and "girl" was used during Slavery and the Jim Crow era to diminish an African-American's self worth. They were called boy because the dominant culture didn't recognize them as an adult. The unfortunate stereotype among Blacks is that we are child-like. This stereotype has steam from the partenilistic values held by the dominant culture during Slavery and Jim Crow.
To some people "sweetie" is bad, but the reporter didn't think that there was nothing wrong with it so we shouldn't be making it a huge deal. If she didn't care, why should we?
