Democrats say they want to raise as much as $1 trillion in new revenues through ***tax reform later this year to balance Republican demands to slash mandatory spending.
***[[ Note that is this context “tax reform” means only Higher Taxes]]
Democratic leaders have had little time to craft a new position for their party since passing a tax deal Tuesday that will raise $620 billion in revenue over the next ten years.
The emerging consensus, however, is that the next instalment of deficit reduction should reach $2 trillion that will come from higher taxes.
This sets up tax reform as one of the biggest fights of the 113th Congress, which began on Thursday.

Nancy Peliso Spending and revenue not contacted
Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) has dismissed the possibility of negotiating additional tax increases.
[[ Which means Mitch McConnell will say he does not support more government spending until it time to put his Job on the line]].
“I'm in favor of doing tax reform but I think tax reform ought to be revenue neutral as it was back during the Reagan years. We've resolved this issue, look we don't have this problem because we tax too little. We have it because we spend way, way too much,” McConnell said Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”
Liberal and centrist Democrats say revenues collected through tax reform should go to deficit reduction.
[[[ROTFLMAO!!! Yeah right!!!]]]

Just remember you wonderful America Voters. Congress cannot pass a 10 year Budget. So if a Congressman or Women tells you they have a 10 year “”Plan”” or Agreement it is worth less than the paper he or she uses to wipe his or her mouth after taking a dump.

This is a wasted thread my friend.. When you have a system of crony capitalism like we have here in the US, both sides are the blame...

The bottom line here is that we have a government that will pin you down with mandates and fear... They will f$$k you and your kids and toss you in the garbage when they get done with you.. And its not just the federal government.. Just look at your own Fl republican legislature that has raised taxes and given insurance companies anything that they ask for...

Yet the majority of voters keep returning the same people to office. You can’t cure entitlement and you can’t cure stupid.

Are those your Facts dolander? You might wish to go and read your history again. Here is the short version.

a) 64 or 67 counties in Florida had few if any voting or counting issues.
b) Miami-Dade, Palm Beach and one other south Florida could not figure out how to count (by the way all ran by your friends in the donkey party).
c) Those counties decided to change the rules for counting as they saw fit.
d) The Florida Court agreed with those counties that the RULES did not mean $hit.
e) All the Supreme Court did was say; all counties in Florida must follow the same rules for counting.

An example would be the Commissioner of Football telling the head referee that he cannot force one team to play the game with only 8 players. The Rules state 11 per side.

In other words Florida did not have a credible voting system so the Supreme court made the decision to give it to bush by stopping the recounts.. Isn't it odd that his brother was governor at the time..

You can cry all you want and I'm sure you will, but the fact is you just supported my point of view with that post of yours..

Incorrect, my friend, Florida had never had issues before and again only three counties had issues counting ballots for the most part. Of the 67 counties I Florida (Both Dem and Rep ran) ONLY three had issues. Only three choose not to follow the rules that the other 64 counties used, without issue. ONLY three tried to change the rules, ONLY three tried to break the rules that everyone else abided by.

What is obvious is that three Florida counties and the officials within those counties (Democrat ran) understanding that then could select the president they preferred. All they needed to do was ignore the rules for ballot counting that had been long established and make up rules as they went along that would provide the outcome they preferred. Granted “Rule of Law” is quickly becoming an extinct ideal here in America and is being replaced by Majority rule and that is a horrible state.
