This is not your typical club, this is a full on strip club. This particular club has been shut down many times over the last years and is forced to open under different names and ownership becuase of the infractions. Gunshots ring out in the streets around this club, and prostitution and drug deals take place outside on the streets surrounding. If you are dumb enough to let your children attend "teen night", you are quite possibly the worlds worst parent in Jacksonville. How this club operates just down from a school and church are beyond me. This is the most disgusting dirty filthy club in Jacksonville and the City continues to allow them to open the same type of club every time it has shut them down in the past. One night 14 gunshots and 1 dead person - not so very long ago.

OK, I live in St. Augustine, and although it is true we no longer have one, when I was in high school
(granted, that was in the 50's), we had an awesome time. Our Teen Town was in the middle of town, right beside the City Gates. It now is labeled "Visitor's Information Center". We had adults who chaperoned us, we had both records and live music, when it was available, refreshments and a dance floor.

I really believe two things changed. As the adult world aged and younger teens became adults, we ceased to have adults interested in being with the kids.
They no longer cared where their kids went, they just told them to "Get lost" as they were handed money. The eternal party and the "young forever" mindset came into being. Kids were out on the streets where the drugs were, and the beauty of the 50's ceased to exist. Today, any teen center will be on the outskirts of town, and those without transportation will be left behind. Tragic, today only the almighty dollar seems to matter.

Churches need to lay off of things they have no business complaining about. The Baptist stronghold over Jacksonville is sickening.

The people who run such places have no scruples. Their morals & values systems are in the gutter. There used to be laws about how close to a school or church an establishment that sold alcohol could be but, like so many of our principles, I think that law has gone by the wayside. Perhaps the various churches should be out front of "adult clubs" passing out their literature. Or perhaps "we the people" should swamp City Hall with protests until such immoral businesses are shut down.

I have been a witness to the crime that this place called G-Spot has caused. This club was also called Amnesia. It has brought blight to the streets and should be shut down. There has been numerous shootings that HAVE resulted in DEATH! No joke, just recently the Manager of the Club was shot in the head, and died right on the street. There have been many shootings at this location. There are Drugs and Prostution. Just walk the street during the day and see all the trash left behind from the busy weekend business. Beer bottles, Used Condoms, IV Needles, Crack Bags, etc.. Can be found on any given day! Just go look for yourself. I and many business owners in the area have called the Police, Mayor, Sheriff, New Rooms and Newspapers to report what goes on there with NOT ONE RESPONSE! We thought it would take someone dying to close this business up, but that already happend and it was just swept under the rug, not much was said about it by the media.
How about Lindey Thaxton go door to door to the business around the area and get the whole story. G-Spot should be closed down. The Sheriffs office closed them when they were called Amnesia. It was D.A.R.T'ed twice, but re-opened under the name G-Spot. It is still the same owners! It is not safe to even drive by the place at night for fear of getting shot. What will it take to close this place up for good!!!

I saw this flyer as I walked by the business just the other day. How discusting! These people should be closed down. I know what goes on there. I have seen the shootings, drugs, low-lifes that frequent the Club. A teen night at the G-Spot. Is this what you want your kids to hang out at?? It is a shame that Adults go to this place, now kids. These women that work at this club have no respect for themselves. And the men? Oh, didn't you now that this is a Strip Club? These people are the lowest of the low. No good will ever come of the G-Spot. The newsreporter should do a better job of getting the whole story. People in the Arlington area have been trying to get this place closed down for years. The crime is so bad that it isn't safe to be outside in the area at night.

MY SON GOES TO TEEN NITE AT THE GLOBE AND HE HAS BEEN TO CLUB PARIS WHICH I BEEN SEVERAL TIMES..I EVEN MADE A ENTERANCE TO THE GLOBE BEFORE I LET MY SON GO THERE TO SEE IF FOR MYSELF WHAT MY SON IS HANGING OUT AT...
IT IS NOT TELLIN PEOPLE WHAT THEY SHOULD DO OR NOT TO DO.{OWNERS OF THE CLUB}IT IS TELLIN OUR YOUTH THEY ARE RESPONIBLE FOR THEIR OWN LIVES WHEN THEY ARE OUT. NOT THEIR MOM NOR DADS...BUT THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR WHAT DECISION THEY MAKE IN LIFE.
A OWNER OF ANY BUSINESS IN THE WORLD GOAL IS TO BECOME RICH...YOU CAN'T HATE ON THAT...MAKIN WAY IN THIS WORLD IS HARD. DON'T JUDGE THE OWNER OF THE BUSINESS...
FIND OTHER WAYS TO KEEP OUR TEENS OCCUPIED LIKE A SKATING RINK IN ARLINGTON .....A CLUB MADE JUST FOR TEENS...
AS FAR AS BEING SHOT AT A CLUB...WE ARE MORE AT RISK JUST WALKING TO OUR CARS OR WALKIN HOME FROM A FRIENDS HOUSE AND GET BLASTED.....OUT OF NO WHERE....
I LOVE JESUS WITH ALL MY HEART AND I ACCEPT HIM AS MY LORD AND SAVIOR...WE NEED TO BE MORE WORRY ABOUT SAVIN DUVALL COUNTY FROM THE MURDERS THAT HAS BEEN OCCURING IN THIS TOWN....ON THE STREETS AND BEING INSIDE YOUR OWN HOME WATCHING TV....BEING PREGNANT WITH A CHILD AND GETTING BLASTED. AND YOUR WORRIED ABOUT A NAME ON A BUILDING CALLED G-SPOT...AM SURE KIDS KNOW WHAT IT MEANS THEY AREN'T DUMB....WHO LIKE THAT TEAM THE BLUE DEVILS...WELL, IT IS THE SAME AS THE G SPOT....KIDS ARE GOING TO BE SHOWN NO MATTER WHAT...WE JUST HAVE TO DEAL WITH IT AND TEACH THEM TO BE A LEADER NOT A FOLLOWER....

Are you dumb enough that you don't understand that what everyone is saying is that there is drug use there, every night. Do you think that the drug dealers waiting outside to sell to the adults all week long aren't going to be there when your CHILD gets out of the club? Don't be a fool. They are more likely to have drugs at the club than sex. Get a clue. Sex isn't any better than drugs when AIDS is involved. That place is a health code nightmare. Take a stroll in there one night and see how appropriate you think it is.

Perhaps the City can close these clubs that invite TEENS to their adult clubs. This is a form of Pediophile activity to me. Shameful.
What parent would allow their teens to attend a club like this? They need to be arrested as well for child negligence.

WHEN I WAS A TEENAGER MANY YEARS AGO WE HAD A CLUB FOR TEENS HERE CALLED TEEN RONDEZVOU 13-17.
THEN THERE WAS ONE CALLED MARDI GRAS AGES 15-18
WE WENT THERE OFTEN AND IT KEPT US OUT OF TROUBLE. HOWEVER,...THESE CLUBS WERE TEEN EXCLUSIVE. THEY WERE NOT BEING HOUSED IN STRIP/ADULT CLUBS WITH BAD REPUTATIONS AND DRUGS. G-SPOT IS THE WORST OF THE WORST.VERY DANGEROUS PLACE TO BE AT NIGHT.ARLINGTON IS JUST ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF HOW RAPIDLY A NEIGHBORHOOD CAN DECLINE WHEN CLUBS LIKE THIS ARE ALLOWED TO OPERATE.WAKE UP JACKSONVILLE!

I am in Arlington and I can tell you that this so called club The G Spot is bad news. It needs to be shut down. People have been shot dead at that club. We dont even need to talk about the drug activity becouse everyone can see that. What parent in their right mind would allow their child to go into such an environment. This so called club is run by sick people for sick people. It does not take much brain power to figure out what it is truly all about.

The title of the story should have been Teen Nights - At Jacksonville Strip Clubs. I doubt people realized by the title that this was a strip club. I think the news should also cover the actual night. How about filming parent's dropping their teens off and get a clue as to what they are thinking. Seconly, actually send someone in undercover and see what the teens are doing there and what is going on outside. With this club, you have to watch the outside activity. The drug sales go on in the street. This is just another sign of people taking advantage of teenagers, trying to get them hooked on a lifestyle for when they are old enough. Truth be told, they are probably trying to recruit dancers. It's a sick world we live in. Don't just cover the story, follow up on it.

oh, so am i now to view this club as socially (not to mention morally) responsible since the club will only serve soda, will close in time for teenagers to comply with curfew and no girls will be on stage? what next, a book fair at an adult book store? from a marketing standpoint (albeit depraved, at best) the idea works. that is the problem. some spend so much devising ways the could do something rather than spending a little time thinking about whether or not they should do something. it comes done to ethics. it may be legal, but is it ethical? i suppose if we are to consider the source a discussion of ethics is moot. 1 corinthians 6:12 says, for a Christian, all things are allowable, but not all things are expedient (benificial). even for those who are not believers, the truth is truth. "it's 10 o'clock, do you know where your kids are and who they're with?" what about the other hours? train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.

I don't think that these Teen Clubs at the "G-Spot" and places as such are great. But honestly...what else are teens in Jacksonville supposed to do? Hence the reason why they resort to drugs, alcohol, sex, etc... there is nothing around that doesn't deal with any of those matters. Maybe if everyone would stop complaining about these places and get up and do something about it, make a safer place for the teens. Somewhere where yes there is freedom, but knowingly will have fun, and a chance to meet new people. I spent to many nights just chilling at the house cause there aren't places around that drugs aren't advertised somewhere. But when you're a teenager you don't want to sit around the house, you want to go out. There are no other places to go other than the teen night at the "G-Spot" and other clubs.

remember, the same rights afforded to you have been afforded to each of us as citizens. it is as much our (the "Churches") business to voice our discontent about such issues, as it is your business to complain about an apparent "Baptist stronghold". i only wish it was a stronghold, for then there would be a shift in morality (though not perfect). however, i do hope you will see the Churches do not want "a piece of the action", they want peace. the peace that comes only from the Prince of Peace, that is Jesus Christ.

I'm not too keen on night clubs but I think teens should be able to attend. If not, they will go back to having the illegal rave scenes and that could be worse.
