Animal Care and Control has Lots of pets!

I just got back from the Animal Care and Control and they are packed with animals.

If you know of anyone, or if any of you, can please add another member to your family, please go visit them. They have about six great dogs who are in danger of being put down.

If nothing else, they are accepting donations of any sort of food or toys or treats, so anything you could do would be great!

Wish I could take in another dog. Unfortunately my house is full with 2 labs. However, I do try to donate as much as I can each year to the Humane Society. Below is a quote that I have found to be very true!

Not surprising all pounds are packed with animals now.

When people can barely pay for gas, kids' needs, mortgage, utility bills, credit cards, gay white porn (sturv slim), etc... where do you think pets are on that list in terms of priority??

would love too take another dog in but the one we have does not play well with others.........and the least we can do for her is give her a safe and happy home for the rest of her days.....the vet says that with all the scars and such on her body she came from a bad situation before.

I almost considered an off color vietmanese joke or some sort but Slim took the wind out of my sails. I'm pretty sure it also had to do with the illegal gambling that was going on as well. That helped him out. He was just too stupid to roll on the other people first.

never really cared for cats that much, BUT when the time comes will without a doubt make the animal shelter my first stop for another dog, thats the main reason we held on to her in the first place when I saw all those little faces all pressed up in their cages, there was NO way I could send her there and hope that she was taken in.......... so we told every shelter that we had her and she was safe etc and that we would hold her till her owner could be found.........2+ years later she is chipped free of heart worm and a happy soppy sod that we would never part with.

I already have an idea in mind of how to stop the problem at the shelters, but I am curious as to what other people think. What do ya'll think can be done to stop the growth at the animal shelter?

close down half these grotty puppy shops that they have around here........for instance the couple of times that I have been inside them they get all blank looking when I ask what happens to the PUPPIES that do not get sold....where do they go after that.......... madantory spaying of dogs once they reach a certain age unless red lined and you pay a fee for them to be able to have a litter......... stop all these in house breeders......there is one house about 5 mins from here that without fail every few months she has a sign up stating puppies for sale, in the 3 years I have been at this house she MUST have reached the quota of being a breeder and as such should be registered etc. and they MUST put a stop to all those poor puppies that are caged and sold along blanding / 103'rd area........
