About time! Those 2 girls should have been taken from that woman the next morning! Lucky for them that POS just wanted Cherish, the mom put all 3 in extreme danger! That judge should have nightmares of what was done to little Cherish forever, she could have turned her over to the father but instead let her own female bias keep Cherish in an unfit home with an unfit parent.Shame on that judge!Just because a woman can spit out 3 babies does not make her a mom.Now go out and get a job take care of yourself no more living off your kids! She can't take care of herself how the hello could she possibly take care of innocent children. She helped her daughter to be murdered. My tears are for Cherish and her father and siblings I shed none for RP.Go back to the pole and your other activities.Hopefully your too old to have any more babies!

I have been yelled at and talked to like I am dog because I feel that this woman should have been locked up after she let her daughter go off with this animal.
I still stand on my belief that she needs to be dealt with.
I have heard she will live with this. Yeah she lives. She has a future. Her baby doesn't.
I hope that she never gets those kids back.
I can't believe that she hasn't been charged.

If your stand is this then every mother of a missing murdered child needs to have their children removed and charged. Somer Thompsons mother let her child walk home from school. She allowed another child to make sure she got home safe while she sat watching TV. Cherish's father was discharged from the navy for molesting a 5 year old and was pictured in the Shame Shame Shame section of victims advocate for solicitation of prostitution while seeking custody.... You are blaming the wrong one!

No, the mother can't be blamed for a predator's behavior. However, she is completely at fault for handing her little girl over to a stranger!

If what you've stated about the father is accurate, then he shouldn't have had custody. However, that doesn't make the mother fit in any way. She shouldn't have had custody of this kid. She is an unfit piece of trash!

Come on Tommy...does it matter? When is SOCIETY going to STOP blaming the victim and place the blame squarely where it belongs? ON THE PERP!!!!!

The victim was Cherish. The mother allowed her daughter to walk off with the predator. SHE TOLD THE POLICE SHE LET HER CHILD GO OFF WITH HIM. Was that loud enough.
She CHANGED HER STORY. What part of her to blame don't sink in.
GEEZ.
Somer was walking home from school. Her mother didn't hand her to the killer OBSERVER. Many kids have to walk home. If I remember correctly, Somer usually walked with a lot of kids. That wasn't her mothers fault.
But the stripper, someone on here called Cherishes mom that, anyway, the stripper LET her kid go off with a STRANGER. Now she is mad because someone hadn't labeled him as a predator. What did it matter, she still would have let him go off with her daughter.
GET your head on straight. THE MOTHER IS AT FAULT HERE.

I'm not Tommy.
I stand behind what I stated.

The perp is responsible for what he did.

The mother is responsible for handing her kid over to a stranger.

That's like (except worse in my opinion) pushing your kid out in traffic and then acting shocked when she/he gets hit by a car.

Cherish's mom was a stripper. When she was a stripper, she became impregnated by one of the "customers" That was Cherish's dad, a married man. I don't know about you, but I think a lot of strippers do more than dance. Clearly that happened in this case or a baby wouldn't have been born. So it leads me to believe that this woman was used to using sex to get what she wanted. After all, assuming Cherish's dad was the only customer she ever slept with (big assumption), it still stands that Cherish's mother was using her body (dancing nude) for money.

My theory is that she thought this creep was after her, so she was playing the game to get money/clothes and/or whatever she could get as she had done countless times in the past.

She didn't protect her kids. She put them in the vehicle with a complete stranger. If she wanted to take that risk, that's on her. But when she involved her kids, that changed things. She is responsible for that! She did absolutely nothing to ensure the safety of her kids.

I have been told off even by my husband about my stand on this. I was told by him that this woman made a mistake and I am judging this woman.
OH NO. This woman changed her story after she told the police she let this man take her kid.
I can't see how anyone thinks this woman is innocent. I really get so upset when I think of what that baby went through.

OK mom was dumb and niaieve. He was tricky and probably promised Cherish a quick ice cream if he came with him to get food for everyone else so she sneakily followed him. The mother not realizing Cherish would follow him. Cherish's mom was not on top of it and she is in extreme emotional pain. She used to be a stripper and I don't think they're famous for being astute and shrewd. We can trash the mom till the cows come home but whty do we live in a world where such a significantly high number of men cant be trusted????!! The mother was a dope but Donald Smith is the criminal with ill intent.

Since when is it ok to take money from a stranger who asks to take your kid and then walk the kid out to the van- of that stranger? He did not abduct her he was given that child. In an interview she says she taught them about strangers? What the hell did she teach them? Sorry for you on here defending her..... SHE GAVE THAT MAN HER CHILD AND WAITS 30 MINUTES TO CALL POLICE?
THAT IS A CRIMINAL ACT OF NEGLECT AND CHILD ENDANGERMENT. As a Social Worker, a mom and a human being, it is an clear cut case. I don't care she was a stripper but to abandon one child have 3 more and hands one over to a stranger, who then kills her? CASE OVER!

RAYNE: No, he's got white hair and dark eyebrows. I had a strange feeling about him when I first met him and he took her to the - he took her to the - to the dressing rooms twice. And I was hoping that she would be okay. And I was looking at the shoes. And I didn't want him to think I was overly protective, freaking out....

She just admitted to allowing a stranger to take her child to the dressibg rooms not once but twice. That as far as I'm concerned was a test on his behalf to see if he could get away with taking this child. And she failed miserably.

RAYNE: Yes. There's nobody in the store. And he knew the store was closing. He said he was going to McDonald's, she went with him, I should have told her to stay with me...

Again obviously she knew her daughter went with him. She changed her story cause everyone blames her. I have 3 kids I'm also a single mom. I know how hard the struggle can be. But I also would not ride with a strange man with my 3 kids to a nearby Wal-Mart wait around for 2 hours, allow said man to take my child to a dressing room twice. You can also guarantee as soon as said man asked to get my child high heels I would have left right then not stay and let my child go with him. I understand people make mistakes. But she made too many just in this short amount of time that makes one question how many times did she put her kids at risk. Not to mention she stated "I don't want to be one of those parents going through this" I'm sorry but that's a little selfish. Imagine her daughter is taken and she's thinking about herself. I firmly believe if she had of been a better mother and protected her poor daughter she would be here today. Yes he's to blame to don't get me wrong. It's a mother's job to protect her child from evil not hand them over literally.
