The phrase "the early bird gets the worm" has never been so true as when yard sale shopping with Jacksonville appraiser Barbara Langston and her son Jonathan.

These people are the folks I slam the door on when I host yard sales.
I'm sorry, but in my opinion a yard sale is no different than having a store. If a store sign reads 8am, it won't open any earlier than 8am. Plus, it gives everyone a fair advantage at buying my crap.
My opinion on this is, if more people did this yard sales would be far less stressful. It irkes me to no end to hear my doorbell ring 2 hours before a sale. It's easier a lot of times to just ignore their greedy selves.

I had a yard sale a few years ago and set it all up in the garage the night before. When people showed up , early I turned them away...I was still in my PJ's at 6:30 am on a Saturday!!! I agree with the post above...8 am is 8 AM...duh.

Well, at least they changed "omish" to "Amish" in the story. And people have been finding deals at yard sales for ages. Why is this news?

While this segment is enjoyable and useful, I think you might find that Ms. Langston is not the best choice.
She is not known in the antique/estate sale business, as being honest, I know this personally and she has acquired quite a reputation with the States Attorney's Office.

On what planet, does a head vase sell at 125.00, not this one, maybe 35 to 45.00 and a damaged one, you would be lucky to get 5 bucks, really shame on you..
