Hey, cut obama some slack.....He's doing nothing as hard as he can.
It would be very interesting to know what the Obama Administrations target unemployment number is; could it be 15%, 20%, 25% or even higher. High unemployment is not the consequence of policy but the desired RESULT!

I believe obama is betting on the stupidity of the american people.

First, he is making no effort to solve unemployement, but throwing all energy into his BS healthcare.
He is betting that the healthcare fiasco will be a thing of the past in 2 years and some head way with unemployement and the economy a year before "his" election will suit his purposes.

The easest way to tame most americans is to have them broke and without work to do.
Taking away self-respect and self-reliance will break a man when all other things will not break him.

Very well Said!

The easiest way to tame most Americans is to have them broke and without work to do.

OR

The easiest way to “Control” most Americans is to have them broke and without work to do.

I want to ask you can you survive without the help of foodstamps should your life be turned upside down? How many children do you have? or how many children did you provide TOTAL care for? Could you survive without the help of food stamps if you had a heart attack, battled blood clots in your jugler, blood clots in your lungs, husband has to have his leg cut off, could you survive waiting for the 6 months to pass, before you saw one penny of disability? without the help of foodstamps? And now put on top of that the death of your mother that you have to help pay for because your family is so nice to understand you are dead broke? Yes, I say dig in a little deeper but come on.. I couldn't save money while I worked for many many years because I had 4 children to take care of. I didn't matter, they did, and they still do.
The same way people survived for millions of years before it was suddenly up to the government to take care of you.

what prevents you from getting a job doing some computer work?
I have given that some thought but, I am not real good with a computer. Given some thought to try to go to fccj and learn more. Now may I ask who would take care of my home and my mutts if by chance I got a part time job. I take care of my husband who in an amputee and my son who is an incomplete parapalegic. I have to make myself available for their doctor appointments and other things like therapy.

Except for me, I am not 100% sure about any of the other posters, however based on their post and having read their post for over a year now, I do not suspect them to be collecting food stamps.
Some folks can certainly play this forum game. I know of only a couple of folks on here but I do not know if they get stamps or not or someone in their family.

People could kill anything eatable in the time you are talking about to survive.. There are laws today that prevent people from shooting birds and squirrels to eat even if its on their own property.

DemonsEye, I truly wish my parents had raised me in the good ole country for I may of caught on to how to survive with out the help of the food stamps I used to get. They were farmers, that now say the farming business really sucks, no money in it. That's what they say, I have not a clue. I do however believe being raised in that atmophere would of taught me how to survive if I were able to.
Plus they were so close knit that they would of helped. That's how they are. I did not have that here, I did not have that with my so called family. nope not even my own children.

Killing for survival is natural... If the government prevents people from killing wild life to survive then the government has to put the food on the table... Failure to do so would mean that the throats of the government could be slit with the blessing of God in my opinion.

if I read the forms correctly then nope, but equally we would make far too much to come even close to the quota of being able to get them.......... its good that they are there for the ones that DO need it but after seeing what is used when people use their ebt card [food stamps] you would be pretty disgusted to be honest, blatent misuse of a system that was put in place to protect the less fortunate of us..........

This is what should happen:

There should be a grocery store dedicated for people with EBT cards. Packed With necessities (eggs, milk ,toilet paper, and diapers.) And it is ran by people who receive those EBT crds. IN order to EARN your free money.... you must work 15 hours a week and if you don't well sucks to be you!!! damn free loader!

Key words:

EARN and WORK

There is no shame in someone getting down and out and needing a help up. I am not talking about the people that use wellfare and public assistance as their carreer. But sometimes a family might need some help. I do think that ther are limits to the time they should be able to get them.
Also they need to put a cap on the time that a girl can keep havving babies to stay on wellfare. these girls will have a kid just about the time their assistance will be cut off so they can keep their stuff. That is wrong.
I know 2 girls that has done that in the last year.
as for ebt cards, they don't pay for toliet paper and diaper and soap, or toothpaste. etc. that is what the wellfare checks do.
it is a unjust system that needs a lot of work. and many need to get jobs instead of relying on others.
but there are some people that do need help, like the people that are cripple etc.
just a thought or two here.

If you can't afford. then it's time to abort. After 1 illegitimate kid sterilization to both parents is in order regardless of age. That solves part of the problem, at least for tax payers.

Daily Horoscope for May 22

Pisces

Things are not always what they seem today, so be careful. Someone might appear to be completely honest but turn out later to have been fooling you in some way. Or a situation may seem quite clear-cut right now but forthcoming events will reveal that things are very different under the surface. So be wary about who and what you believe, and don't let anyone push you into making important decisions today because they may not be in your best interests.
