Don Washington of the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said the pedestrian was standing in the driveway of a Sonic drive-in, waiting to cross Jammes Road at 103rd, when a southbound truck on Jammes lost control, went into the opposing lane, and hit him at about 5:20 p.m. The driver of the truck, the sole occupant, was taken to a local hospital ... It was so sad. The boy appeared dead immediately after hit by the truck. Others attempted to talk to him checking but getting no pulse and got no response a female nurse arrived and began chest compressions until rescue arrived The driver was thrown from the truck through passengers window witness said the truck was attempting to pass a car and hit the young man standing on side of road. This happened behind me so I only heard screeching sound of tires and the truck hitting the boy and three. Very frightening watching CPR on the boy who was not movig or breathing seems like an unnecessry accident for this innocent young man
