No, my kids will earn their way and have respect towards others. Your child will be my childs boss, at least until he gets caught stealing from the company, using his position for sexual favors, and so on. Then my kid will be boss because the company will need a person of honesty and integrity after your kid embezzles money from the workers. Crime comes from the rich kids never having to own up to their actions. They start trouble and their parents come to the rescue with lawyers ect.. These vandals will be caught and expelled only to be put into yet another private school after parents like you who (who are putting the needs of needy kids before your own i.e. teaching them zero for respect and responsibility )save them yet again. My co-workers are a majority of private school/parents paid college kids. The disrespect they show towards hard honest work is pathetic. They think they are better than their employees They don't understand that my values and work ethic come from working to pay my own education, nothing was given to me and my children will earn their way to the top as well. Your kid will just expect it like some noble birthright<quoted text>
I'm glad you are a hard worker, but your tone is one that sounds a bit jealous.

Not jealous, just annoyed that the country has become overran with group think idiots. A college couldn't tell you the name of the 36 president if their life depended on it , but they can tell you the B.A.C. of Lindsey Lohan's 1st dui. They continue to forfeit there constitutional rights destroying our freedom its just ashame they waste good oxygen

You are the one that claimed "private school kids", like a group thinker here..And, what does forfeiting their (notice the spelling)constitutional rights have to do with kids not knowing about the presidents? You have jumped from one subject to another, none of which has anything to do with your first post that I was replying to.

<quoted text>there was a story last week about parents calling in with concerns because they found out teachers did not get their checks because the one person who could sign them suddenly left town for the weekend,,without signing them...so yes, it is not a rumor..but true..and its a stupid thing for them to do.
The paycheck thing was not the rumor to which I alluded; it was the possibility of the school's closing. I, from the outside, don't believe that only one person has the authority to sign the paychecks. I believe that it was an effort to stall making the payroll without admitting the shortage. People with clout might be able to get the books opened to see if the payroll could have been made on time.

Normally, what you are saying is correct, but you don't understand how this school operates. It's amazing that they have been open for this long..Both my kids went there for a few years. The place is privately owned. The owner has complete control over everything, right down to buying TP. She does the books, goes to the bank, and everything in between..Think of how a private day care center is run, with one owner. That's how this is.

The vandals probably don't even go to ACD. They are probably the same low-life scum bags that infest the whole Justina Road area. That place is Arlington's breeding ground for criminals. The kids who live there have no other example to follow other thay that of "Momma" and "Baby Daddy" who aren't married, have no moral values, live off of welfare, steal anything that isn't bolted down and would rather have 24" wheels on their car than shape a child into an acceptable, productive member of society instead a ward of the state trying to rob, cheat and steal.
Enough, get your lazy asses off of the couch and teach your kids to be people instead of cockroaches.

In a public school when you rob, steal, vandalize, and hose others over you learn respect for others property after a couple of well deserved beatings. What a narrow minded, uneducated, generalization about private schools....your moniker indicates you must wear a dunce hat as well........

The Arlington area has declined so much over the years. Now most of the neighborhood is scum, low lifes and thugs. I feel sorry for all the nice folks who live there and have suffered thru all this. Clean up and clean out. If Justina never existed, Arlington would be a much better place to live. Bulldoze that area and start new. They deserve some new apartments over there.

It has declined over the years...Do we know when?
It was when Jacksonville started their "downtown beautification project"...That was when all the apartments in Arlington became Section 8 Housing. The rest is history. I do feel bad for the nice people, who had/homes in Arlington, and have had them for years..They are just a matter of circumstance.

So are you saying that public schools are any less of a joke when it comes to education? Sounds like you are jealous because your kids couldn't hack it at a private school.

That being said, I have no love lost on ACD. The continuously cheat and recruit in violation of FHSAA rules.

I can tell you when I was in private school, a good portion of the kids there were only there because they had disrupted the public school system so much as to be expelled and that was the only option. Or, they were giving their parents such a hard time, they used private schools and the religion there, as a means of hopefully getting through to them.
Many times the private school teacher's educations are not as widely scrutinized as teachers paid by tax dollars, so you are not necessarily getting more for your $$$$.
Small private schools like this are usually are a joke. It's unfortunate, because they are affordable, and people feel like they are doing the right thing for their children, but most times, they would be better of with public schools, as they have more resources, special programs, and extra curricular activities that small private schools just can't afford. Before you start in on me, I have attended public and private schools and I think I know a bit.
i'm not starting in on you, but i feel now days, public school is just not the best. i have watched the grades of the middle and high schools, and their grades drop. my child is not a trouble maker, he is well liked by his classmates and teachers and is A-B honor roll, and i want to keep it that way. Private schools have smaller class sizes, so the children get the attention they need for their subjects. i also work on the opposite side of town that i live on, so my child couldn't attend the public school near us and go home alone in the afternoons, it's not safe.
