Drivers Offended By "Whites Only" Signs

I am not surprised by all of the racist remarks that ive read on here.
its just sad that this America is the same Americkkka 50-60 years ago....people are still being stuck in their bigotry.
And to those who complain about blacks having their own tv stations, magazines, etc....are we NOT supposed to have a voice? are we supposed to live like 2nd class citizens ?....I know you are going to sat no publicy....but in your mind you are going to say yes.

Nothing like a good scandal to drum up business, anyone here that takes these signs seriously needs professional help. Does it matter what the color of our skin is? we all are americans and that is that......

I totally agree with you in some respects, but not in others... if you are going to preach equality and unity and acceptance, you cannot also preach seperatism and self righteousness and intolerance. If you do not want racism to be perpetuated against one group of peoples, then you cannot use racism to do the same thing as long as it suits your own purpose. Racism will ALWAYS exist because there will always be people that use it to thier advantage, people that keep hate and anger and strife alive because of differences in skin, in beliefs, and of faiths.

If you saying it's ok for there to be schools which prohibit whites, hispanics, or people of the orient? Is that not reverse racism for someone to protest a "white affilaited" school which would do the same, but to condone a "black affiliated" school which does? Again that would be self serving sanctification.... the same ole "well it's ok because thats how we think it should be" mentality that caused blacks to suffer through suppression a hundred years or more ago when people thought it wrong to teach blacks, or women, to read or write.

We can certainly learn from history, and evolve, and grow and become better individuals, and a better society, but instead certain people use the past history to breed hate, anger and ignorance. It is seeded as an excuse to validate the gimme gimme gimme woe is me and all my peoples for what happened waaaaaay back then mentality.

Be true to thineself, hold accountable memory the past, but be not held prisoner by it - nor define who it is that others are by becoming that which you claim to be against.

Does that teaching explain the black on black crime rate? How does such a belief show compassion, respect, understanding and mercy? Well, I'm more offended by those who think that black hair magazines, BET...etc is racist than by this sign. Our culture(s) are different and we have sources that cater to just that, just like any OTHER culture does!

You're just trying to use the "double-standard" example to cover up the fact that you don't want any blacks or other minorities around which is true anyway. For some of you.

I drive on that exact same road everyday to take my son to my Mom's house and I could not believe it myself. I have seen the sign several times and I thought it was just someone trying to play a cruel prank. Whoever is doing it should be ashamed. We are in a different time now and this sort of thing should not be happening. I really hope my son has not seen them because he rides with me everyday during the week. I hope the poice catch whoever is doing this.
