Child Killer Mark Dean Schwab Executed

STARKE, FL (AP)-- Florida has executed Mark Dean Schwab by lethal injection for kidnapping, raping and killing an 11-year-old boy. It's the state's first since a botched execution prompted a moratorium and state investigation.

Gov. Charlie Crist's office said Schwab died at 6:15 p.m.

Tuesday's execution of the 39-year-old pedophile was the initial test of Florida's new lethal injection procedure, which was instituted after Angel Diaz died in December 2006. Needles to inject the deadly chemicals into Diaz missed their mark and he suffered burns and extreme pain.

Schwab unsuccessfully challenged Florida's execution procedure, claiming it could also cause pain and suffering. He was executed for the 1991 death of Junny Rios-Martinez of Cocoa.

I don't know why they keep calling the last one 'botched'...I mean, he died didn't he? Isn't that the point? I'd only call it botched if he lived.

I am going to a funeral next week in Florida for a fallen officer murdered then raped by a convicted sex offender. I only pray it will not be that long until justice is served! If anyone protests, I would be more than welcome to let them live with you and your family! Wouldn't you like to adopt a sexual preditor?

Sexual predators should not be released back in to society period. They should receive a mandatory life sentence. There is no excuse for a sexual predator to be released.

Anyone that does not believe these people should be put to death are obviously not related to the children nor do they have children and could feel the pain if it happened to someone they knew. I had a good friend when I was 8 years old that had gotten kidnapped and the sicko stuffed sticks in his mouth to keep him from crying out then cut open his stomach and had sex in the open wound. I do not know what ever happen to the guy as I was too young. I believe in the death penalty.

Why does the system give a crap about the pain and suffering of anyone that is fixing to be put to death, I'm sure what ever the person did to deserve the execution put a lot more pain and suffering one thier victim. I think the should do to the convit what he/she did to the victim.
