A teacher puts her hands on a child and has other children physically attack him and is put on paid leave? Excuse me? There is never, let me repeat, never a reason to touch a child other than to restrain them from hurting themself or someone else. Do physically restrain a child to express the teachers dislike of a hairstyle is beyond ludicrous. If this teacher would engage in this type of physical contact for a “personal opinion” what would she do if she was angry. To add insult to all of this, she is being paid while on suspension? The public is paying her for this physical abuse? If a parent had done such a thing in public, child services would promptly be involved. To say that I am upset over the public schools and the teachers actions would be the understatement of the century. Fire this teacher! Teachers know what kind of physical contact is acceptable and what is not, and if this one doesn’t, she has no business teaching children in the first place.

This is appalling! To think this teacher has ruined every aspect of what a teacher should be. This day and age a teacher has their back against the wall from the jump and then we have people like this. This person is not of teacher quality. Has no teacher instincts and should not be allowed to step foot in a school again. Kids are always trying new things and for them to figure out right from wrong is based on how we react to these situations. If we react wrong we teach them the wrong way. If we react the right way they learn right. This person should be tried and convicted as if they did the actual pulling out of the boys hair.
