""We don't know if that's there for him to try to disguise himself or if he has some kind of injury, we're not really certain at this time but hopefully someone will see this individual and give us a call," says Ken Jefferson with the JSO."

Where is the picture, It will be hard to spot him without it.

It sounds as this could be a dangerous drug, if misused.

It's sad that people are so addicted that they will do anything to get it. He was probably going through withdrawals and was desperate. I hope he can get help and turn his life around. It's seems like people are targeting wal-greens, I wonder why, I think this is going to make more pharmacy's pull oxy off there shelves.

This is ridiculous. All the pharmacies should stop carrying this drug and let the pillheads go out of state to get it or go cold turkey.

I blame Purdue for this medication! It is highly addictive! The company has forked out millions to families for wrong death lawsuits and misleading the public on just how addictive it can be! It is my believe that this is a medication that needs to be removed from the drug market!

"He was photographed on a surveillance camera wearing a gray t-shirt and black pants and very noticeable large bandages on his hand and head.

"JSO asks that anyone who has more information on this robbery or recognizes the man call Crimestoppers at 1-866-845-TIPS."

It might help if JSO would give a better description of this man; unless they want every male wearing a "gray t-shirt and black pants and very noticeable large bandages on his hand and head" to be IDed & called in to them.

This could get out of hand for pranksters.

Being a nurse I have seen people from all walks of life hooked on this drug. It is a very sad situation. I hope they catch this guy and lock him up for a long time so he can get out from under the control of this drug. It ranks right up there with crack for addiction and people will kill to get it just like the crack heads will.

The picture was only on the video link. They could have put it in the written story too, but oh well. The picture was terrible anyways. How hard would it be to mount a camer face level on the shoplifting dectoror at a Walgreens. Even if the camera is damaged, it would get a better image before it was trashed.

Don't you just suppose if he had Large Bandages on his Head it would be Tough to recognize him in or out of "costume", especially if part of his face was covered??

If anyone recognizes this man? It states that he was photographed by their cameras. So...where's the picture? What are they asking here? If we recognize someone who's wearing a bandage on their head and hand? Without a photograph how useful is the info if it were a disguise? Is he tall, short, overweight, thin, dar k skinned or light. What's scarey is if there is someone out there, besides the robber, who is really hurt with a bandage on his head and hand and he gets tackled because someone thinks that he's the robber. Ouch!!!
Is there nowhere SAFE to work or be anymore? Crime is out of control. You're no longer safe in the stores, schools, library, hospita ls, in your own home or car or even walking down the road.
I'm wondering what percentage of these crimes are commited by drugs addicts? They need to get tougher on drug related crimes. If you commit a crime because your
're addicted or under the influence then the penalties should be stiffer. The let's be leniet on them and send them to rehab because they're addicted isn't working. They CHOOSE to do drugs. We have got to take OUR COUNTRY back and stop handing it over to the drug dealers. Look at what were giving our children and grandchildren to deal with. THIS IS THE FUTURE. Let's start dealing with it!

It is time to take this drug not only off pharmacy shelves but off the market. Oxycotin is destroying lives and taking lives on a daily basis. ENOUGH ALREADY

I think they need to stop making this drug.
Seriously it's ridiculous to keep it on the market when they know it's causing so much crime and addiction.

My sister works in CVS and is going to UNF to become a pharmacist and news like this makes me worry about her safety.

Between yours and Ernie's response, you both are uninformed as well as very ignorant. You people see this 1 article, and want the drug banished because that is your judgmental point of view. Heres a little dose of reality, you read this 1 I repeat 1 article today about some stupid ass. To help broaden your horizons, for this 1 article you read about a fuckup, OxyContin was taken by hundreds of thousands or responsible people. People that have cancer, or broken backs, some guy who fell off his motorcycle and ripped half of his skin off sliding 1/2 mile down the road. People who without this medication have absolutely NO CHANCE of living a somewhat normal productive life. What about the father or mother with arthritis so severe that without this medicine they would never be able to hold or participate in a new born babies life? Get off your soapbox and try to learn something about what you want to spout off at the mouth about.

Yeah, and while we're at it let's forget about the peoples lives it saves. Screw them let them suffer, right? What do you people care, you don't have a clue what it is to hurt every minute of every day. Let's just do what all of you think is right in your judgmental little peon brains. You're smarter than everybody else, right?

Go ahead and quote me the exact statistics. While you're at it, give me the comparison of them against the statistics of people who benefit from the drug. Man, remind me that if I ever want to move to Jacksonville not to. It's full of narrow minded know it all jackasses.

Roximan,
These people who are so quick to judge have obveisly never had chronic pain, or watched a loved one with chronic suffer every day. And they don't seem to care how many people it has helped.
