The hypocrites in Washington are at it again, we are told higher taxes are the only way to fix the “Budget” issues and what is the “The Fiscal Cliff”, higher taxes.

I mean the Majority of Americas (many who do not pay any Income Taxes) say they support higher taxes on at least some part of those who pay Income taxes. Now those who DO NOT pay any Income taxes are against tax increases on themselves, go figure. Then you we have the minority who believes that reducing spending and reducing the size of Government is part of the answer.

So why is everyone so Afraid of the Fiscal Cliff.

http://www.floridatoday.com/viewart/20121113/...
“”The package of tax increases and spending cuts known as the “fiscal cliff” takes effect in January unless Congress passes a budget deal by then. The economy would be hit so hard that it would likely sink into recession in the first half of 2013, economists say.””

FYI,
Read some of the stories out of Greece, Spain and Portugal. All three have been raising taxes, raising taxes and raising taxes and maybe cutting a little spending and all three governments are in deeper financial shape now than before. However, there is no need to look at history or even current reality the smart people in government have told us that government spending absolutely must be increased and that taxes must be raised. Of course the government that desires to spend more money and raise taxes also desires to reduce further the numbers who pay any Income taxes.

It is a wonder that you are not part of a think tank with your incredible economic acumen. Guys like you cry "Smaller Government, Less Spending" until it hurts them in some way then watch out. Maybe a little more common sense spending and a little less party rhetoric is the answer. Maybe everyone (including your rich masters) paying their fair share. You love to dump on the poor, why is that?

Oh master of great knowledge, should I even be so privileged to reply to your post?
Massive government and thus government spending has so lessened the pain for all. Can you comprehend that 30 cent of every dollar spent by the federal government is borrowed. Here’s a news flash for you, that number will be even higher next year after Taxes are raised as the monies taken in will be less than estimated (as always happens) and of course spending will increase (as always happens). You mentioned common sense; do you run your household finances in the same manner as the Federal Government does? When your income goes down do you spend more? For your 2013 budget have you already assumed that your household will spend 5%, 7% maybe 10% more just because? I am not dumping on the poor however, I have yet to see many poor create jobs and pay any Income taxes to the Federal government. For another thing I am not dumping on the poor I am just calling at I see it. Yes, we all use the roads, infrastructure; the military protects us all benefits from the government, but how many people live off the government. How many people depend solely on the government for the most basic necessities? Why is it that the averages show the poorer the family the more kids they have? I am not dumping on the poor as you have accused but I sure as hell will not hold them up as the preferred and glorious lifestyle that should be praised.

We don't need government for anything....... Cut all government away except for the military and a minimal police force to protect us from crazy liberals when they lose their job due to incompetence and go on a shooting spree

I knew Fiscal Cliff he was that fat nerdy perverted geek in accounting. The guy could crunch numbers but his downfall was putting his credit card numbers on the purchasing line of child porn sites. Cliff is in jail now and the guy did save the company money I think I should send the poor SOB some Preparation H and an icebag I'm sure he needs it.

You know what dolander you are 100% correct, it is still Bush’s Fault.
National Debt at End of Clinton 8 year Term (Budget year 09/30/2001):$5,807,463,412,200 .06
National Debt at End of Bush 8 year Term (Budget year 09/30/2009):$11,909,829,003,51 1.75
Total debt increase under Bush $6,102,365,591,311.64 or $762,765,698,913.96 per year.
National Debt currently for dolanders man crush Obama (Budget year 09/30/2012):$15,834,643,915,76 6.81
Total debt increase under Obama to date $3,924,814,912,255.10 or $981,203,728,063 per year.(this includes less spending on wars).

National Debt clock when checked today was $16,344,753,915,000.00. It want be long until that number will be $20 Trillion. I wonder how much faster that number will grow once the tax increases on the wealthy, upper and middle, middle class kick in.

Just to be clear here dolander, the problem with this country is not the politician we elect. It is the guiding attitudes of those electing the politicians that have gotten us to the point we are. When you were a young man I believe (correct me if I am wrong) the majority looked out and saw the opportunity the do better in life, have greater financial security be successful. Unfortunately, the majority of all living generations now look at what government can promise them (didn’t say deliver) and it matters not what government does in that pursuit.

Will raising taxes on some Americas or all Americas solve our deficit issue?
NO!!

Will lowering taxes on some Americas or all Americas solve our deficit issue?
NO!!

Simple equation taxes must equal government spending. The government has only two sources of revenue; taxes or barrowing, there is NO third option. It would seem the current argument is based solely around WHO will pay the dollar and absolutely NO discussion about should WE even spend that dollar to begin with?

WOW, welfare spending per day per household in poverty is $168 x 365 days a year =$61,320. No wonder people are pulling out of the work force thus lowering the unemployment rate. Taxes are getting ready to go up on the workers (elves) making $61,000.00 before taxes to pay for the household making $61,320 per year TAX FREE.
**According to the Republican side of the Senate Budget Committee, welfare spending per day per household in poverty is $168, which is higher than the $137 median income per day. When broken down per hour, welfare spending per hour per household in poverty is $30.60, which is higher than the $25.03 median income per hour.

"Based on data from the Congressional Research Service, cumulative spending on means-tested federal welfare programs, if converted into cash, would equal $167.65 per day per household living below the poverty level," writes the minority side of the Senate Budget Committee. "By comparison, the median household income in 2011 of $50,054 equals $137.13 per day. Additionally, spending on federal welfare benefits, if converted into cash payments, equals enough to provide $30.60 per hour, 40 hours per week, to each household living below poverty. The median household hourly wage is $25.03. After accounting for federal taxes, the median hourly wage drops to between $21.50 and $23.45, depending on a household’s deductions and filing status. State and local taxes further reduce the median household’s hourly earnings. By contrast, welfare benefits are not taxed."**

Boehner:'Where are the President's Spending Cuts?'
House Speaker wants Obama to propose a plan in fiscal cliff talks
House Speaker John Boehner gave a brief statement on the House floor at noon today calling on the president to identify which spending cuts he's willing to make in the fiscal cliff negotiations, The Hill reports.
"Where are the president's spending cuts?" Boehner asked. "The longer the White House slow-walks this process, the closer our economy gets to the fiscal cliff."
Boehner, R-Ohio, said the meeting he had with President Barack Obama at the White House Sunday was "nice" and "cordial." But there seems to have been no breakthrough in negotiations to prevent the tax increases and automatic spending cuts that will come at the end of the year if a deal is not reached, The Hill article said.
"If the president doesn't agree with our approach, he's got an obligation to put forward a plan that can pass both chambers of Congress," Boehner said in his statement according to Politico. "Because right now the American people have to be scratching their heads wondering,'When is the president going to get serious?'"
White House communications director Dan Pfeiffer responded to Boehner on Twitter, writing the "irony is that WH offer had very specific cuts, GOP counteroffer had almost none, " The Hill said.

__________

ROTFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!
I can answer this one for you Mr. Boehner

It's called "FLIP FLOP"! Remember when he was so elloquent when he was accusing the Republicans about Flip Flopping??? The "Obama Deception" continues...

From Sen. Obama’s Floor Speech, March 20, 2006:

The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies.… Increasing America’s debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that “the buck stops here.” Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better.

Remember, monies from taxing the "rich" will only bring in enough revenue to run the government for less than NINE DAYS. go figure. It's just class warfare and perfect socialist rot
The POTUS and democrats need to resign.

The printing of oceans of money is killing the private sector worker for it is a theft of the buying power of the worker and transferring that wealth by stealth to government and the powerful.
Our economy lives and dies on the ability of the worker to buy and save.

Remember, Obaams always wanted gasoline priced as high as Europe. With the trillions of dollars being printed to make up for Obaams stupidity, he'll get his wish. World oil is bought and sold in US dollars, and the dollars value is in quicksand. I know this is not understandable to the Obama voter.

Sadly, we elect politicians who haven't learned.... that if we earned $50 a day and spent $150 every day, in a short time, the end result would have to be bankruptcy!

The problem is, we have a lot more lazy Americans, which result in a lot more democrats. Our country will slowly slip into a #$%$ hole from here. There are too many people who depend on our government now that they will continue to vote for those that give them free money instead of those that try to make them self sufficient. The country is headed in one direction and that is down down down.

Liberal want to spend more, it doesn't matter that we are broke. Republicans want the economy to improve, keep more of your money you earn and stop paying people not to work. Yes, it is that simple.

"The only people who don't want to disclose the truth are people with something to hide." (Barack Obama August 21, 2010)' Oh bro you lie time and time again.
