Why explain anything when every thing you guys post up here is anti something. so anti- christ is appropriate or are you having second thoughts about reality.

OK, lets assume for a moment that the old book is genuine and it tells us how to do things. The process should be observable, naturalistic, testable, falsifiable, and expandable. If it is not then it is supernatural which means magical. Show me how man was created according to Genesis. If it can be tested and reproduced, I'll accept it. If not, it is magic and the whole book is rubbish.

Didn't you read my post before answering? The bible gives two distinct different answers - one in Matthew and one in Paul listed above. This is why the bible is totally insane. Christ like means coming not to bring peace but with a sword to set father against son. It also means hating your mother. Yet it also means loving everyone. It is a hotch potch mix of badly chosen and mistranslated, poorly copied, bronze age trivia. It is no better than the Koran or the Book of Mormon. Do you follow the teachings of the Koran or the Book of Mormon - if not, why not?

33AD? didn't those Pentecostals start a church up then too? anybody can bend scripture to suit their own thoughts? Satan does it all the time to people. every denominations translate some scripture to end all discussions and cussings. there is truth in the Bible and each denomination has truth, sometimes a little and then a lot. most are a family run business? why do they rail against each other in towns? they need to keep a captive clientel to fund all the grandiose and material special effects?Seek the truth, the real truth. The way is narrow and full of rocks and steep pitfalls.
There have been many churches but no satan. Man invented satan just as he invented god to keep the gullible under control. I fear no satan as he/she/it doesn't exist - neither do I fear any gods. I am free and responsible to myself for my actions and thoughts.

I dont even know where to begin with you. First of all, no where in the bible is there a referrence to a church that is called "The Church of Christ". The passage in Romans that uses that phrase uses it in a generic way to describe the various groups of believers in Christ, not a church on the corner called "The Church of Christ.
Now I agree that one must follow the Bible and put into practice those things taught in the Bible (including baptism), however; to claim an exclusive right to be "the one and only church that is right" is an un-biblical view and is false teaching.
Friend, you really need to study more before you make claims such as these. However, if you are comfortable with your narrow interpretation of Christ's truths then by all means keep it up. All you will succeed in doing is turning people away from Christ's message of salvation.
There can be no salvation without hell. There is no hell - don't be afraid, join the thinkers and eject that fear from you mind. I know it is difficult that's why cults such as yours need deprogramers. People are beginning to clear their brains of this deep indoctrination by themselves - all it takes is genuine thought and analysis. You can do it alone. Read your bible and discover the errors and appalling laws. I'm sure there are many parts of the bible that you disbelieve - talking donkeys etc. Don't cherry pick - throw it out. There is no god - just your conscience which you can cleanse of this rubbish for your own good. Take back your Sunday and put it to good use.

Yes hell and heaven are real places, so it's time to face the fact that one of these two places will be your home forever. Go to the nearest CoC and get saved and know for sure your home will be a heavenly home.

If I could know for sure don't you think I'd be there like a shot? One of us is wrong and I'm not prepared to make the sacrifice for Pascal's wager.

Very goofy statement. I think I would take Mr Pascals wager. What do you have to lose? Lets face it if your wrong then there is no turnig back when that heart beats it last beat.

The fact that you dont know for sure is all the more reason to take stock in Mr Pascals wager.

Yes I know your rebuttal will be: how
do we know .

Faith: and please dont post the definition of that word here. It gets kinda tiresome and it is late at night.

Even if there is an afterlife, there is no way to say what it would be like and what requirements to get in.

But I doubt worship of a deity would be one of those, I would think it would be based off the life you lead.

[QUOTE who="Mr.Blackstone"] One last statement before I go.
The bible doesn't explain how we came to be by any means.
How did god create us ? Magic
How did he create the universe ? Magic
How did he create woman from a rib? Magic
How did he create animal? Magic
Magic is not an explanation of anything. "

I'm still waiting for that explanation of how man is made from dirt. The bible does not say how.

What I have to lose is my mind. I love freedom and critical thinking. I love to rely on myself and take responsibility for my actions. To give that up and donate a huge portion of my life to the church would be the worst crime against freedom that I can imagine. "God's plan and he moves in mysterious ways" doesn't work. I say stand up for yourself and think. Take the responsibility of freedom seriously and treasure it. Giving up part of your mind to the church is indefensible. You have no concept of freedom when the virus is in control of your mind. Only deprogramming will help you see what you miss and (unfortunately in many cases) make you somewhat bitter for the time, life and money you have wasted.

I have read through a lot of this, and it seems to have left the topic, but I would really like to know specifics for the basis of the opening statement. I have not seen how "working for the Lord" can show how his church is significantly different from other Protestant churches. How is your worship different. How can you judge the sincerity of heart of others?
Also please tell me if the church of Christ and the church of Christ in Christian union are the same. My sister was in the CCCU at one time.
For those interested, could his get back on topic. I believe the unbelievers have made their point and rather than try to change theirminds could we discuss this for a while.?
Thank you. Please forgive any misspelled words as this phone is hard to work on for typing.
