All comes down the leadership in my opinion. Our chief could care less, does not live here, is not moving here and what happens in this town does not effect him. He has to be held accountable. Everyone else is. I just do not understand how he is not being held accountable. He needs to go.

@trueblue .... Your right I've never had anyone say it to my face until they are in cuffs and behind a cage, further more at snschick you jump on here putting down cops because of a few who were bad and you proclaim that your profession as a so called nurse is of the upmost highest integrity? Lmao at you! Do you know how may nurses get arrested for prescription fraud or dismissed for a positive drug screen ? This to is public record but not entertaining enough to make wbbj so get off your high horse miss I graduated from jscc and became a nurse, I graduated from UT chat and became a cop and in my career I've never stole, lied or excessively beat anyone nor have I ever passed by when someone needed help. If you good citizens truly believe you have been failed then I urge you to no longer request our assistance please don't call 911 by all means handle it yourself that would be just fine by us trust me when I say WE are sick of coming to your house because you can't make your kids mind or you are tired of your neighbors garbage on your lawn and because you saw a black man walking down you street and please don't call when you need to make an accident report because you wrecked your car doing something stuped like getting oral while driving etc.etc maybe cops do stupid things from having to deal with stupid people on a daily basis and stupidy is contagious .....hmmm maybe

Lol I have lived in this town my entire life and it has never been as dangerous as it is now. People shouldn't be scared to get out at night here. All the police care about is the almighty dollar. They get incentives for obtaining drugs off the street, I'm sure they have planted their fair share to get the money for those fancy new cars while children in school need text books. Also, think about it, they will never receive a dime from a murder who will spend the rest of his life in prison so why arrest them, its not making them money. What makes them money is arresting people on petty charges were they have to pay bail and fines and probation. That's why there are so many petty arrests and so many unsolved murders. Its not about the safety of the people its about them making money. The entire jpd, mcsd, and cjc with all their filthy mold needs to be conpletely torn down and replaced. Then maybe we will see progress.

I have to say you and your fellow thugs in uniform have made quit the impression on the streets and on topix.

You and your fellow officers do all this illegal stuff because you can get away with it. When one is caught, you dumbasses act like it was 1 bad apple when you know good and well the whole force is made up of corrupt thugs!

Well if that is how you feel maybe you should contact the F.B.I. and voice your concerns. As for sns chick law enforcement receives no incentives for anything their is however a drug fund that funds the metro narcotics unit in which all equipment for that unit is purchased and the funds are audited annually which is public record no incentives are available for any officers on an individual basis as for planting evidence there would be no need due to that the suspect is already in possession hence the probable cause for stop and detain procedinga lawful arrest. You are full of conspiracy theroys and have no fact to back up your statements other than you uncle worked at cjc but a known fact about your uncle is that he was terminated or should I say forced to resign if you don't believe me just expose his name so everyone can go to the S/0. And request his personnel file I bet you don't.

Since people think cops do nothing but plant drugs, steal, etc, let's just do away with them. No cops. No jails. No judges. Nothing. Since all authority is supposedly corrupt, just do away it all. No one would have to worry about ever getting a ticket for running red lights, speeding through a school zone. Could go on and on about the benefits of no cops to interfere with anything. How would any one like to live in a world like that?

So you want crime to come to a halt but yet you want to contradict how an officer does their job and question tactics " the few we have left" and you then complain and criticise about how ineffective we are when its you who gets a ticket so what to do ? My opinion is if you want to take the city back from the thugs get behind us , support us and let us do our jobs without ridicule call the mayor and scream to the top of your lungs we are tired of being afraid only then will we as cops be allowed off the chain to take the streets back ! But as long as we are under the gun for how we do our jobs then its only going to worse as far as us ALL being corrupt you are sadly mistaken we do this job to attempt to make a difference not for the pay because we sure are not getting rich by doing it .

East jacskon, the next time your kid gets shot at while they are in their bed, don't call the cops. Take your own gun and go hunt down the shooter. Next time your kid gets hit by someone barreling through the school zone, dont call the cops. Just suck it up and deal with it cause they never did their job any way, right?

What is so funny is that Jackson wasn't like this a few years ago. When I was in high school we didn't have these problems. I'm not saying all cops are corrupt, I actually know a couple good ones however, many of them are only in it for the perks. There have been a lot of questions raised about the conduct of our pd because they feel that they can do whatever they please with no consequences. I agree it starts with the chief, he doesn't live here so he isn't concerned with our crime raiting. A city as small as Jackson shouldn't be even in the top 50 on the crime rate scale. And for those of you that think Jackson is big, you need to get out more. My uncle didn't forcibly resign, he quit. He never even had a diciplinary action brought up against him. You must be thinking of someone else. The community can't fix this. They didn't cause the problem, the majority of them go to work every day and home to their family at night. The police need to leave the small time crimes alone and quit hunting for the little things to arrest ppl for and get the big criminals off the street. Who is more dangerous, that kid smoking a joint in his own home or the guy chasing people down the street with a gun?

Obviously for the guy in fl it was the one on bath salts who attacked without a gun. And the fact that we are so close to memphis, you think that doesn't play in to the crime rate? And you are so right. Things are not the same as they were here when we were growing up. Kids used to be scared of paddlings and other corrections when they cussed out a teacher or other adult. Now their parents join in. their parent is the one pulling the trigger in the shooting or the robbery. And then people like you cry foul when they arent treated with kid gloves in jail.

What about Deputy Jeremy Insell causing an accident while on drugs while driving a school bus?

1. Officer
2. On drugs
3. Causing an accident
4. Injuring/nearly killing a person
keep it up

Actually crime is going down in Jackson while nationwide it is up. The Mayor, JPD and the Sheriff's dept are all doing great work.

So what your saying is its ok to break the law if its a small crime such as smoking a joint but if you rob someone we should arrest , intresting you say that due to if we picked and choose which laws we enforce then that to would make us corrupt too would it not ? It is not up to us as officers to pick and choose which laws to enforce but your opinion is noted. I agree it starts with parents and teachers or should but more now than ever a officer is brought in to the equation when its the responsibility of the parent to control their child but I guess its easier to just pick up the phone. Parents have become lazy its a shame when the police dept. Receives a call because a 7 yr old refuses to go to school and when the officer arrives on location the parent states I can't do nothing with him you handle it !,WTF?, really my answer to that parent is bust that kids ass and you ma'am act like a parent .

U never seemed that intelligent. But seriously go away with ur bs. Im just glad ur uncle quit cause id hate to think anyone related to you was allowed by laws to carry a gun.
