Some have emotional conditions, etc. and these roadblocks can create quite the problem. Most officers are NOT prepared for these individuals, nor do they care. Paranoia and anxiety set in and usually there is an arrest or long detain.

Like you said "if you aint doing anything wrong"..??? Then why are you stopped in the first place?

Well so concerned about the emotional ones...If your anxiety is that bad youre probably taking Xanax or others which could result in a DUI ...
You're stopped because driving is a mandated by the state...dont agree get some fines.

It's a roadblock they check everyone not like they are actually stopping you. And if you're that screw up emotionally you prob should be in a "special" room

So much compassion here. Must be cops on here. After all without DUI money and tickets they wouldnt have a job.

Yes, they actually stop you. Some do their job, but some take it a little to far with the "probe".

Maybe we are the cops on here. Tell us where YOU live and we can have a check point at the edge of your drive way.

ROAD BLOCKS ARE AGAINST THE 4TH AMENDMENT OF THE CONSTITUTION!!!
Just because I am doing nothing wrong, I should care?
Well I am having god ordained sex with my wife so I should let everyone watch, right?
Just because the govt and main stream media have you all so fking scared of your own shadow now days that you will give up all of your rights and freedoms for a little safety doesn't mean i will.
take a long hard look at 1936 Nazi Germany and look at the United states today.
Revolution will come again and my firearms are well oiled and ready.
Those Road blocks and TSA checks at the airport are there to get you used to being ruled over, teaching you compliance and to micromanage your life like good little slaves.
Meanwhile the borders are wide open. Go figure.
Just wait til you go to the bank and when you take out YOUR money, they ask you what you are going to do with it. uncle Sam needs to know.
F*CK UNCLE SAM!!!
none of anyone's God damned business what I do with MY money!

How/why are roadblocks a violation of 4th amendment:unreasonable searches?? If drunk outta your redneck mind, then let it be unreasonable all they want.
discretion

United States

#14 Dec 27, 2011
The key word here being discretion. When I'm out driving with my family, the doors are locked and I don't stop for someone to stick a flashlight in our window and shine it around. Also I have somewhere to be and if I wanted to stop, I would. My family's safety is up to my discretion, HOWEVER, when the cops have you pulled over/stopped, it is their discretion that matters. Im so glad we have law enforcement out there keeping us all safe, and most of them are good guys...but hey just last week, look at the two cops caught in Memphis fu$%n little kids.

Its not as much about the stupid roadblocks as it is about one person's discretion over my own.

And as far as the drunks. Sit your ass outside the bar and watch them crawl to the car. Leave the open road, that is paid for by us, alone.

Well, we will just sit outside your main hangout and watch you get into your vehicle as you stumble and take your tag number. And then you will be busted and have your children taken from you. You will get a free, hot TV dinner at the jail. You probably will look yummy to some of those thugs who are on the down low. There is also an activity playground for those on good behavior. Dumbass.
