I actually had no desire to attend madison and I made all As when I was in school except maybe 1 or 2 Bs in math. That's above madisons standard of a C average.

Girl you are something else. I'm getting the feeling that you wanted to go but you didn't win the lottery and now you feel bitterly about our school. I'm sorry, maybe you can find a good therapist, a bunch graduated a few years ago, I'm sure I can get you the hook-up.and by the way, USUALLY colleges require a minimum GPA to get any sort of scholarship, AND if pregnancy was a factor Liberty would have gotten more scholarship money than all the other schools combined, not Madison. :)

No difference besides the fact that the graduating class of 2012 got more scholarship money than every other public high school combined... Just saying.
That's not true! You need to check your sources! Yes, they offer more Honor's course but almost everything at the school is considered honor's. They do NOT offer more dual enrollment classes than the other high schools. They actually offer less than both South Side and North Side.

Well I go to Madison and I don't know who this Mr. Smith that was fired is. We have not had a Smith working in the Math department. And Madison has the best scores of most schools in West TN. the average ACT at Madison is a 26. We work hard every day, and if your child is a dumb ass who just complains about having homework, send them to another school where you don't have to work hard. If you are struggling in a class, there are options far beyond just the teacher to help. We have student tutors, most teachers stay after school for tutoring as well, and most every teacher is there to help you, even if it's not in their allotted subject. We have great academics, sports, and fine arts, and your child will benefit immensely from going to our school!
.....he was there in 2004. I had the idiot. But he's been long gone. The school has it's issues but what school doesn't? If your kid cried every night bc of the homework, clearly they we

bad idea to send your child to ths school. I too had to pull me child from it because of an abusive teacher and work over load. Don't do that to your child! Liberty Tech is a good school, it's new and staff is good.

USJ is better than Madison in every aspect of academic competition. Plus, we are way classier.

Classier?? Is that the word they use for drugies, pricks, alcoholics, and spoiled brats? You have no close what the real world is like... You can't always pay to get what you want... Only send you child to Madison if they aren't lazy and want to succeed in life.

Actually, the usj kids say the first year of college is a piece of cake compared to usj. I know first year was a breeze for my son who was NOT in honors classes at usj.

Yea yea yea......we've all heard this about a hundred times on here. Why does this eat at you so bad?? Even if it were true and it's NOT, it's no reflection on YOU or your perfect kids, so get over something that's a fallacy and completely irrelevant.

Exactly the point made earlier in this discussion regarding the arrogance displayed at Madison. You, my dear, have a serious ego problem and OBVIOUSLY look down on the other public schools, along with the kids that attend them. No worries; you'll be taken down a notch or two when you get to college and realize that there are many students just like you and even more that are brighter, more creative, and more hardworking than you are. Sorry, but that's life. Unless you're a genius(which I'm sure you are - you attend Madison, after all)..:)

Actually I don't have a big ego at all :). Just defending my school that has done a lot for me. If you KNEW me then you would know that nothing has been handed to me and I have more friends i PUBLIC SCHOOLS than I do Madison, I came from Rose Hill. I make my viewpoints on eyewitness accounts based on what my friends tell me (i.e. "I don't do a damn thing in class, the teacher just tells me to have a piece of paper out in case someone walks in) I feel very strongly about my school and our staff and the relationships they have with their students. You don't know me, you are ignorant, my dear, so quite frankly back up. And your sarcasm makes me laugh. Im not the sweet innocent nerdy kid you perceive me to be. Sooooooo unless you are about that life and the actions that come with it- Id shut up. God bless you.

It doesn't matter what school you went to. TN requires the same standardized testing for everyone. Madison isn't in a good area of town regardless of the education they may or may not provide. I would prefer a school located out of down town. I never worried about my car being broken into at south side. Madison is still a public school and held to the same standards as every other public school.
