She was there and allowed this? I guess she did not realize she could be held accountable?

Apparently she wasn't held accountable. The article said she was questioned but not charged. I would think at the very least she would get Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor, whether she purchased alcohol or not. Minors were on her property with alcohol, which should in some way make her responsible. If I had minors at my house and they were drinking, I fully expect I would be in trouble with the law. As well I should be. But that is why everyone seems so bitter toward the USJ crowd. Regular people would have to answer for their mistakes, not tell the cops they weren't home and not be in any trouble.

Everyone needs to get a life. Y'all are worried about a high school party and making fun of a kids name when there are families who have lost children recently in Connecticut. Seriously?!?

Seriously it's a high school party. Grow up and go take care of your own children instead of spending all of your time on topix. 9916

Money gets you out of trouble in any way shape or form. If that had been a public school party and a public school mother, she would be in jail and all over the news right now. But of course the world works differently for a usj mother. And what's sad is most of them think that's how it should be. And they wonder why the whole town hates them

I guess that's why we read about so many parties being busted with public school kids and NEVER read anything bad about the private school kids.

Will his birthday present be a mugshot and finger prints at the criminal justice complex?

Oh, OK. Was thinking the picture and fingerprints came later when they answer the citation that was written to them.

You are correct. They will have to so to cjc at a later time to be processed. Also, this was not just USJ kids, not that I care, but there were NS and Madison kids there as well. Just was at a USJ kids house.

They won't go to cjc at all. I know 3 kids that got caught underage drinking 2weeks ago and they went strait to jail and got printed not a citation like these kids. That shows right there that those kids got treated different.

Are you saying USJ students get special treatment? Are you aware they actually TARGET USJ kids? The cops somehow get "off" busting them. My guess is the same old same old. Jealousy.

They did go to cjc and get fingerprinted and photo taken. Just not right then but that is not because they were USJ kids (again they were not jut USJ kids.) it was because there was 30 of them. There were two in your "example". JPD always does this with large numbers. Can you imagine booking 30 folks at a time for a misdemeanor?

WHO cares if they target USJ kids. If they are underage and drinking, then they deserve everything they get. I hope that neighbors who live around all these USJ kids' neighborhoods keep and eye out every weekend for now on. I hope they report all parties for now on. 16-17 year olds drinking and driving should not be tolerated. Parents if you won't do your job then I hope your neighbors turn your ass in.

Also, someone said why are we worried about this with what has happened in Connecticut? When one of these drunk ass 16-17 wrecks and kills you or your family, then you'll know why people are worried.

Sadly, ALL of her USJ friends were at that party. Which is why she wasn't with her USJ friends that night. I'm by no means saying my daughter is angelic or anything because she, like every human being alive, has her downfalls and life struggles; however, fortunately for HER, she has very strong personal convictions and beliefs about drinking and/or partying.
