So will the mother that pulled up as the police officers were issuing citations going to be charged with 20 counts of contributing to the delinquency of minors?

Seriously doubt it. Would've been in paper probably if she'd been charged.

I agree, Molly, unless she can be proven to have purchased/provided the alcohol? Someone had to buy it for them. This happens at all schools though, not just USJ and other "hotty-totty" schools.

You can't tell me that the mother didn't know that this party was going on. She was in and out of this party not just when the police came. She should be charged with something. We need to step up and be the parent not their friend.

Yes. His parents are divorced. The party was at his mothers house.

You're absolutely right!! Of course it happens at all schools. Why is everyone so interested in USJ? Even moreso than the other private schools it seems. What's the big attraction with USJ? They're just "people". Same as the people at ALL schools.

I'm speaking in general, all schools and underage drinkers. I think its sad that parents allow this to happen in their homes. It is so irresponsible. These kids who have been drinking then get in a car and drive home. Endandering themselves and other people driving. This mother allowed these 30 some kids to drink in her home. I'm sorry but she should have been arrested. In this country it is illegal to drink before you are 21.In conservative TN, you would think people would be outraged!! But no, they care more about hating gays, blacks, not being able to have guns and thinking you will be going to hell if you don't go to church on sunday!Sad.

I agree, it is all fun and games until one of these kids is in an accident and either kills himself/herself or someone else. Everyone would then speak of the tragedy of a young person dying needlessly when it could have easily been avoided by having parents actually act like parents and refuse to allow that stuff go on.
