Depending on if you get cut early or not...if you work all night, I'd say yeah in between 30 and 60. On weekends probably $100 or more, depending on how good you are.

Truthfully, I work about 25 hrs a week and I pull in about $600 to $700 a week clear. Been there for 10 years. No joke. I used to be a nurse. I used to make $28/hr. I make the same at Red Lobster working half the time as I did as a nurse full time.
I hope that answers your question. But honestly, it all depends on the area. I work in a city where we are the only Red Lobster. Oh, and I live in Canada.

7.25 -8.00 with about 20 hours a week, not enough to live off of. Better off serving.

Do nurses really only get paid by the hour, or is it just certain types of nurses? That would make it seem like it wouldn't even be worth going to nursing school if those are the wages they provide. But I guess if you only work 20 hours it's part time, correct?

That wasn't for nursing that was what a hostess pay. I work 4 12 hour shifts so 48 hours a week at 22.75 and hour.

Thank God! I know some fucking troll judged my post as clueless and nuts, because they're fucking scum, but the truth is, I really don't know a thing about the ends and outs of nursing and how they pay out for different nursing degrees and such. I just have a little admirer that likes to judge all of my posts the same way, no matter what I say. However, I'll say this is the first time the troll was right. I really am clueless and nuts when it come to knowing a thing about the nursing profession. It might have been the first time the troll judged my post accurately. LOL Thanks for clearing that up for me. The hostess' where I work do decent, as we get a lot of carry-out orders at my restaurant.

ICU is great if you can deal with it. I just couldnt i work more with non trauma patients in the er. To me its not about the money i honestly went into nursing strictly for the people. if you just do it for the money you will never be a good nurse.

You won't make killer money serving at a chain restaurant in jackson, tennessee, you just won't. There are too many people who are either too trashy to tip appropriately or too ignorant to realize what is considered an appropriate tip, regardless of how great their server is. Yes, there are people that go to chain restaurants who tip very well. But (and this is a general trend) generally the higher class of people who know how to tip don't visit places like chili's and red lobster. If you want to make great money serving, work somewhere like ruth's chris or another fine dining establishment. Those servers can pull in 1500 a week easy. Unfortunately, there aren't restaurants like that in jackson. Flat iron maybe? That's about the closest thing to fine dining that jackson has. I mean yeah you can make enough to pay your bills at red lobster because there ARE customers there who tip very well, but you will also get your share of stiffers and 2 dollar tippers. Don't expect to be living a lavish lifestyle. Most chain restaurant servers live shift-to-shift.

I can tell you I eat there a lot and I tip accordingly. My bill is usually about 45 dollars so I would leave about 7 dollars tip. Not bad for a few minutes work ha?

Yeah, if you're a cheap ass. People forget that servers have to tip out their SA (server assistants) too. People like you should just not eat out, if you can't afford to tip better. If the service sucked, that's one thing. If not, you'r just a cheap ass who doesn't appreciate everything a server has to do during before and after you enjoy your time at the restaurant. Once you've worked in a restaurant, you never leave a shit tip again. I take it you've never worked in a restaurant.

Also, if the bill was racked up in booze that could be another reason for not tipping as much. But if you enjoy a full meal, then that's not a fair tip, by any means.
