He is very very vulnerable with a voting record in line with Harry Reid too many times, including voting for Obama's radical gun bill recently.

It should not matter rather you know him or not. Vote on for the person who will vote the way YOU would, not for someone just because you know them. Do not be shallow.

Obama's radical gun bill? Background checks aren't really a radical idea, it's common sense.

Anyone running against Lamar is absent of common sense. Tennessee loves Lamar .

Typical liberal misinformation. There are already background checks dumbass. Obama's bill went much further than that.

If you REALLY thought that, you would not have felt the need to say it.

Need a statesman or libertarian to break the cycle of people who get to office and then bend to the will of the others already in office.

Don't know any that are willing to step forward though.

Really they check your background at a gun show? Sales over the Internet? Pretty sure facts and accurate information is the whole liberal platform. What did your boy Mitt say? "We're Not Going to Let Our Campaign Be Dictated by Fact-Checkers" Keep watching Faux News and Glenn Beck....sheep.

You're the sheep. Keep on watching MSNBC and Piers Morgan. Every gun show firearm that I have ever purchased included a back ground check. Every Internet firearm purchase that i have ever been involved with included a background check because it was mailed to a local dealer. I guess if you buy a gun off craigslist, there would be no background check. if you buy a gun off craigslist, expect to buy a stolen gun or plan on getting robbed. Do you think a background check is going to stop a criminal from getting his hands on a gun? All background checks do is hinder law abiding citizens like me. It was funny last week when Oh'Bamma got back handed by the US Senate. Even Liberal Harry Reid voted against expanded background checks.

Lamar Alexander is Conservative ! He will win re-election handily if he chooses to seek another term and I hope he does. He's not the least bit vulnerable.

As for me I'm sick and tired of the Tea party types pining for someone who marches lockstep with their viewpoint and refusing to support anyone else. They have already handed the United States Senate to Harry Reid and the Democrats. I'm sick to death of this bunch of idiots.

They get deeply involved in the primary and work to defeat the mainstream candidates therby nominating the more extreme choice who then has no chance whatsoever of carrying the General Election.
Sharon Angle
Todd Akin
Richard Mourdock are three such recent choices that fit that bill. All of them are idiots !

Neither alexander nor corker are conservative. Alexander voted for one if the most liberal judges sitting on the supreme court. They both voted for the internet tax. They both need to go away.

Alexander and corker are far and away more Conservative than the likes of say, Harold Ford maybe for starters. As for the supreme Court yes Obama's Judicial Appointments are by my own standards appalling. That being said a Senators main duty is to determine whether a person is qualified or not.The last time I checked being Liberal is not a reason for disqulification in and of itself no more so than being Conservative was during the Bush years.

The best hope we have for getting Conservative appointments to the bench is to elect a Conservative as President. In a moment of genuine candor our Senators would telll you this I think.

As for the internet sales tax I'm opposed to that as well but then I do not judge the entirety of a man's job performance on the basis of one or two issues. I'll take these guys over anything the Liberals have to offer !

Justice Sotamayor a graduate of Princeton a US Appeals Court judge and. Federal District Court Judge for New York is well qualified to be a US Supreme Court Justice if you are ignorant enough to review these qualifications and then suggest to us she's still not qualified merely because she holds views you don't agree with then you reveal how little you truly know about our system of Government.

If we Consevatives want Conservative Judges we have to elect a Conservative President. Every President is entitled to his or her picks within reason. I'm embarrassed for you that you come on here and make such an uninformed comment. Please read up and learn how and why things work the way they do before you make such ludicrous statements.

Well it just goes to show you never know when you make that selection as to how they will turn out. Richard Nixon selected Harry Blackmun and we all know how that one turned out.

Once seated that's it no turnin back it is what it is as they say. We have to return to the days when we recognize a Presidents right to choose those he's comfortable with and end the perpetual political battleground that is now the House and Senate. It has devolved into nothing but endless bickering and jockeying for the next election and most Americans are sick to death of it.

I am really sick of it and it doesn't matter who's right and who's wrong anymore just win at all costs. America suffers in this state of affairs as it is.

Roberts did the states a favor by ruling it a tax. One, he called out obama on it as the liar he is, and two, the states can't force people to buy anything. So the states hve the right to refuse it, if they will.
It was a shrewd way around it.

Indeed we will and as each state has reviewed their options most are going along with it as I expected.

Obamacare is now the law of the land and will never be repealed. At the same time there are many elements of this law yet to be implemented between now and 2018. Do not be fooled in the next election by any Conservative candidate(s) that promise to repeal it will not happen.

There aren't any conservatives anymore. They're conservatives in name only, not deeds. If they have true and honest intentions, they'll either have to play along to stay in good with their constituents, or they'll get corrupted by their money and power. Face it, we have a one party system with a right and left side. There's not much difference between the two.
