Ok, so I went in to Kroger Lynnwoods after lunch today and noticed the Salvations's bell ringing girl and she had her earbuds in listening to songs on her iphone while she surfed facebook. What a disgrace. Not a hi, bye, have a good day, Merry Christmas or kiss my a$$. Please tell me these people don't get paid. This was absolutely awful.

I also noticed what slackers these bell ringers are. The same man has been at Walmart North all week and screamed for me to have a Merry Christmas and a safe trip home as I ENTERED the store, not when I left. I do believe the Salvation Army pays the ringers when they don't have the volunteers to do it. It's sad the locals don't offer more free help.

I agree with you both. However, I am just wondering if either of you volunteered this year?? Because of you did maybe one of you could do it better...just a thought.

I'll be working for 4 hours at Kroger this weekend. Perhaps you would match my hours?

I cannot answer for the first poster but I work sixty plus hours a week but still manage to find time for volunteering. I usually manage to do a shift at RIFA with the soup kitchen every other week. Now I have not signed up this year but last year I had my whole family, teenagers and all, ringing the bell at the Kroger out north. Not only did we ring the bell with a smile, me and my children sang Christmas carols also. Maybe you saw us, we were a hit. We were not paid nor were we on our mobile devices ignoring potential donations.

Then you should volunteer and show her hwo it's done. Otherwise, STFU about it.

I've been to Walmart North several times, and not one time have I heard the bell ringer scream! He does wish everyone a Merry Christmas. He is always polite, and very thankful for the donations.

All of the bell ringers I have come in contact with have been very nice. To those who volunteer--thank you!

I know what you mean about the girl at Kroger Lynnwood. She's usually talking on her cell phone when we go by. Doesn't look up or acknowledge your presence. Not judging or making assumptions as to why... just stating a personal observation.

I went in wal mart south and denise collins canada was doing it. It never occured to me that murderers still get trusted with money. It made me sick. She should be in prison. Not speaking to me n my kids. Woulda been the last time she worked there if she hadnt seen me n made the move to avoid.
