avoid the scum

Springville, TN

owned and operated by local police this club is a haven for low life druggies. You would think being owned by police would make it a safe, secure environment for out of town business people to have a few drinks, dance and relax. instead it is a place whose upkeep has been ignored. the lower class local trash use this place as a safe haven for gangsta type activities. if you are from out of town you are given no respect, an are at risk of harassment by the local law since you are not the ones they make their money off of. so either they are ignorant of the activities going on under their roof or they are in on the activities going on. either way this is not a safe or enjoyable place to spend you time in Jackson area, and could cost you more than just a bad night....

It's NOT owned by any police officer. It is owned by Randy Hall who also owns Cody's next door to it. There is a police officer who works at the front door. He's a big dude with a shaved head.. everyone calls him Popeye.
Aside from that, you're right. The Place sucks, and most everyone that works there is damn rude, and trashy. Taboo is the place to go (:

randy hall is a front man he does not have two dimes to rub together. phillip jackson is the money man for codys. lax owns the building not the business. there is drugs there as is at boogie nights. police know about both places but let it go. mostly because of the favors they get from certain young ladies. Ck out the big, but fake, busted bartender at boogie nights. Aaron, her and the police...have an arrangement.

I have been here plenty of times. I had a blast every time I went to. This is the only place where I can actually relax and dance and know that nobdys is stirring straight at me for actin a fool. Try going there and having fun. Then you will see whats up.

tried going was denied access due to husbands physical handicap, not due to age race or clothing......just his disability. was very discouraging and embarrassing. not to mention it is not legal. would like to tell the owner so he can save himself that issue but straightening out the front door personnel.

this place discriminates against those people within our community that are unlucky enough to have physical disabilities, and they discriminate against American Vets that have been injured defending this country. For Shame!

mix is the place to go if you want over priced drinks, security whose hands wander places they dont belong, and it is run down, nasty place. Truly believe if it was not a front for local police officers off duty, and those on duty it would have been shut down for sanitation issues. nasty nasty place. To the disabled who was denied entrance, they did you a favor. the place is scum.

hmmm. previous post states that people wanted to speak to the owners to discuss the issue, wonder if they ( owner or manager) are aware of the employees actions? Personally would hope they were not aware and did not condone this type of behavior. Everyone has a right to enter public establishments, handicapped or not. no matter what the handicap is, that does not make it right to turn them away. I dont agree with legal action, unless the owner's refuse to fix the issue. Hope you are able to get it resolved to your satisfaction. Though I have not seen any information on this or the other topix on the issue as to whom you would contact. If the number listed online is non usable might want to contact the court house to see who is the listed owner, or a manager would probably be able to resolve it for you. Good Luck.

called Cody's they said that the mix never answers their phone, best time would be daytime Wednesdays thats when the trucks come in, and the only way to contact management would be to take another trip to Jackson and speak to someone in person. Also, was told that the same person owns the buildings, however the business;s are not owned and operated by the same individual. Sorry couldn't get any contact info, maybe someone else will step up and assist.

illegal crap goes on everywhere you go. i dont see how so many people can single out this one club and say the things they say. I have been there several times. i have never been harassed by security and the staff has always been very friendly. one person said alot of gangster like activities go on in there. if dancing, playing pool, and drinking some brews is considered gangster, then im guilty. i guess im just a hardcore, bonified gangsta. i have never been solicited to buy drugs and no one has ever asked me for drugs. the building is an older building but it is kept up to date and clean as can be.... its hard to keep a club clean( and i mean any club) when people throw beer bottles and cig butts all over the place. i believe this club is a great entertaining place to go.

glad you liked. We did not enjoy the or across street. The mix was uncomfortable smelly don't, some staff was overly friendly...hands where they don't belong but most inside were nice enough. Place across street lame country not very crowded. Nashville is farther but if you don't have business in jackson it is much better investment in a fun weekend..more options better class of people..better food for afterward. Places to stay roughly same price and quality.

we did not like the mix. Waste of money and time. Unless you are in local area with no where else to spend your miniscule paycheck.
Been there done that
