Nope. Have kids but they are home schooled. Can't afford private and no way I'm putting them in public. I am very curious though how the school rewards drinking. Sounds like kids were punished unless precious post was incorrect. Educate me.

They "supposedly" had to sit for two weeks. I don't recall any of them sitting out though. If that was their consequence, then it was not near harsh enough.

This is NOT the first time some of those kids got caught. Yet, they are still playing for that school. They are suppose to represent the school they play for. Athletes are supposed to have integrity. These kids have none of that. It makes the school look really bad to an outsider who is looking for a good place to put their kids.

Like I said the first time, all kids involved were suspended from playing for two weeks. Their two weeks started immediately after it happened, so the Christmas break took up most of that two weeks.

But TCA only has one loss, USJ has how many? And TCA has outscored USJ 126-97 in the two games they have played.

If TCA is so bad why does USJ get so excited and pee their pants when they beat them? I would rather lose by 2 points than 30. Geez lol

If losing by a couple of points the first meeting shows how pathetic TCA was, what does that say about USJ losing by 30 points at the second meeting. Hum?

Ohh somebody hit a nerve. USJ cannot stand to lose to TCA. A loss is a loss. Ha. Ya win some, ya lose some. Both schools have some very athletic kids. Play the game, when it's over, it's over.

You guys are honestly arguing over high school sports? That is so funny. Thing is, both schools suck when compared to the rest of the state. Get over yourself..... And your kids. No one will know who won or lost 2 years from now. Worry about something that matters.

I think that the punishment for the kids involved should have been being kicked off the team, I had a friend that went to TCA, he got in some trouble for doing something illegal outside of school, not only did he get kicked off the football team but completely kicked out of the school. This is the way those kids should be punished. USJ, TCA, and JCS expect people to think highly of their sports teams and academics. What are those little seventh, eighth and ninth greaders looking up to? A bunch of kids that went out drinking, got caught, and barely got a slap on the rest. These actions are going to keep repeating themselves until they make an example of someone.

People who hate schools like USJ are just jealous because they can't afford to send their children to school there.

Actually, maam. I dont have any kids, and I attended private school myself from kindergarten all the way through the fourth grade. I hated it. I was very prepared when I went to public school, but I enjoyed being at a public school much better. Children in private school sometimes tend to feel like they can get away with things other kids cant or that they deserve something because they went to private school which is not true in the least. The ACT and SAT isnt any different depending on what school you go to. It takes effort from the parents, school, and child to make a child the best they can be and learn everything they need to be prepared for college. No amount of money can change that. I graduated from South Side right here in Jackson and I got a great education there. 28 on my ACT and a graduated from nursing school without spending a million on a private school.

The administrattion knows they will lose their job if they are too hard on little petey or suzy. The doctor wife and attorneys on the board won't tolerate petey getting what he should get.
