I went there a couple of weeks ago and it kinda sucked to me. I don't plan on going back.

I went and didn't like it. They smoke inside the building and the strobes lights are enough to make anyone nauseated. Not to mention the employees were rude!

I didn't think the place was too bad but I could live without the smoke. Mostly I just felt way too old to be there. It is a VERY young crowd.

I'm an older guy as well and usually have a good time there. It's really clean for a nightclub and there usually isn't a whole lot of drama.

Taboo well lets start by sayn im a mother and about 3 weeks ago my 15 year old daughter came to me and asked if she could go to Taboo and I was like what is Taboo? She then informed me that it was club I was extremely in shock so being the protective mother that I am I began asking questions about the place only to find out that this was a full blown club that serves alcohol during regular business hours and that they were having a teen night. Are you kidding me as if that is something I want to introduce to my 15 year old daughter. With that being said Im not doggin on the club or the people that choose to spend their time in a place like this but the staff of all people should understand why a parent would not want to introduce that kind of path for their children looks like they got their pocketbooks in mind instead of the best interest of the children that will soon be running our County, State or even our Country. Come on people get your heads outta your asses and look at what they are trying to instill in the lives if children.

Many clubs have teen nights.....not that uncommon. You've lived a bit of a sheltered life it seems.

First off I can't stand Taboo, I don't like any of the clubs because THEY ALL are drama!
Second.... Teen night is just that, Teen night. They don't serve alcohol, have chaperones and even ask the parents to join in. Do you let your kids go bowling? They serve alcohol there too!
You really sound like a prude or one of these "church loving" people. There is nothing wrong with having fun, as long ad you teach your child right and wrong. You can protect them all their lives and if you give then a "sheltered" life, when they experience the REAL world, they will have problems!

Well to answer both of your questions at once I was very sheltered as a child. As a very little child my Dad was a drunk I had a very nervous stomach because of the trauma so my grandparents raised me and never the less were not up to the new things so all I really had to do was watch a lil tv i was also Home Schooled. mayb thats why me and my 15 yaer old dont really see eye to eye some of these kids are outta control idk but you are right about acting a fool when they are older just getting over it is my problem I worry so much about them this is a very very courpt world we live in.....And just like every other parent they want their children to grow up and do well for themselves thats all.
understandable

I understand where you are coming from but you dont want to be too overbearing, let her show you that you can trust her! She did at least come to you for permission when some kids would have lied about where they are going. You could have went with her, either to stay the whole time or just long enough to check it out a while for yourself and picked her up later. I have a friend who has a sister and the sister was very sheltered all the way up to age 17 and once she started working, driving, etc... She was into more trouble than anyone i know! Yes we all want to protect our children but they also need to know how to deal with the real world. Now is the time for her to learn good judgement not waiting til later in life with possible terrible consequences for things she didnt learn about or learn how to deal with. Just my opinion :-)

Yes the world is harsh and shouldn't view those values as acceptable but values and morals start at home. Do not always blame society for problems that start within ones household. Set standards and lead by example. Not saying you don't but trash begets trash.
