New Urgent Care

It's about time Jackson has an urgent care that takes Tenncare. I went to Tri-County Family Medicine because they take Tenncare yesterday with my sick child and they were so nice. It saved me hours of waiting in the ER. I tried to go to Physicians Quality Care, but they don't take Tenncare. Its on the corner of Highland and East Forest where the Diabetes Care clinic used to be. Will definitely be back.

That's a good location. It can serve all the stabbings and shooting victims from downtown, east jackson and midtown.

Yeah that is a good location. At least the TennCare patients going there saves tax money cause urgent care centers are much cheaper than the ER. And a sick child cant help whether their mom or dad has a job or not.

They take Tricare where a lot of clinics in town will not take that either. Tricare is for military families.

I went there today with my momma and they were so nice. I really liked that I didn't have to wait any to be seen. They did my pap smear and did my shots.

They take Blue Cross and Medicare insurance too. I saw it on their jackson sun ad.

Oh I have plenty to say to you. For all we know she's a widow, with only one kid and just got layed off or is self employed and insurance is more than she can afford. And "We" are all NOT sick of helping. My brother got a job at porter cable and before even a yr they layed off many people. He's baby was probably 6 months and child needed his vaccines. My brother and sister n law didn't get on tncare, even though they probably could. They wanted to just make sure the baby didn't go without. My brother found another job in less than 2 months and HE canceled the baby's Tncare. Just because a lot people abuse it doesn't mean there aren't some who truly need it. I commend her for wanting her child to be heathly. My nephew had a peanut allergy and if they had let him wait it out with no imsurance too, they wouldn't have known that and he could have gotten EXTREMELY sick. Just because junkies abuse tncare for drugs, doesn't mean others must are abusing it too. I get livid with people treating all tncare patient as poor, lazy, or junkies trying to score pills for free.

One last bit of info, I too was on tncare about 10 yrs. ago. I was out one semester of college and my dad felt he needed to let his company know i wasnt a full student therefore not suppose to still be on the ins. I just had surgery not long before and by that time I was floating with no ins, my dr was saying i needed the other surgery that was always a possibity. No insurance would take me because that was pre existing so Tncare accepts peolple if that happens. Had my surjery and physical therapy completed eventually so I returned to college, called tncare myself to let them know I could get back on my dad's ins.

just pay your damn taxes and pretend yours is helping the ones that truely need it. Thank you! And God bless you that you never get seriously ill and have no choice but turn to "US" to take care you.

They have an open house on Thursday March 15 with a ribbon cutting at 3 that day. They told me they was grilling free hot dogs that day and invited us back. Very nice nurses.

Yeah they are great. I really liked the nurses and they gave my kid a free toy.
