Nothing against bowers or any of the other folks listed. I was just hoping we would have some young folks step up and be leaders in this community. I think we need young fresh ideas and renewed energy.

Same here. This area seems resistant to new ideas and change from outsiders. Even the "leadership Jackson" program serves to orient young professionals on "how we do things in Jackson".

What I would like to see is the city enforce its own codes. Go ahead and tear down all these boarded up properties. An empty lot is less attractive than what we have to look at right now.

We know where the problem area are in town. Put more law enforcement there where needed. Train more citizens how to be involved in cleaning up their neighborhoods.

Give kids something to do. Something organized and supervised so they won't be out getting into to trouble.

That was the platform that our current city administration promised six years ago. Hardly a "new vision". Farmer said the same things. How quickly the public forgets.

How can that be? Had gist not worked for the city for like 20 years before he ran for mayor plus he is like 70. How can he have new ideas?

Meet me at Muse Park. There is no truth to the rumor I was caught at a local bar giving a guy a bj in the bath room.

Jackson is not ready for the change that will be needed to move forward. We are in this time warp where we are stuck while most around us progress.

I respectfully disagree. A few of the names I have heard are younger progressive leaders from here that could have the vision to move us forward. Just not sure if they are interested in running. We will see.

Unfortunately, it will take more than a vision to get it done. It will also take creativity, unity and cooperation. Uh oh!
