Ok Englewood folks, do you really think you need the ex JPD police officer in the suit with the earpiece following Ben around anytime he is on "campus"......
How much are you blind sheep paying for this???
Just another example of an out of touch pastor on an ego trip with yes men deacons, leadership who obviously do not have the ability to say NO to any outlandish request.

Went to a womens event at that church Thursday and several women were talking about how ridiculous it was he has this guy protecting him from the people who pay his salary. Also heard he and the worship pastor had quit working on Sunday night as well.

Who are you to judge? I promise that Ben would not do anything that he and others did not think was necessary.

Judging?????? Nice try but do you think he really needs a personal security shadow while on the church grounds????? Sounds like it is more for show and to keep members accessing him. He is notorious for lack of response when contacted by members.

Security shadow, paid speaking engagements while being paid by EBC, reducing his own limited schedule at EBC along with Travis and then a committee to study building a bigger sanctuary when the 800k chapel with a capacity of 425 is no more than 30% full during each of the two services its open........

He has the prettiest legs on him of any man I have ever laid eyes on. Wonder if he shaves them? They look so smooth and tan. Too bad I like my men to look iike a man and not be pretty fashionistas.

You obviously don't go to Englewood. We have 3 services, and all three are pretty crowded. They haven't announced any definite expansion plans, but a new sanctuary wouldn't be out of line.

They're talking about the chapel (the old sanctuary) not the current sanctuary. Try to keep up.

Did Englewood not spend several hundered thousands of dollars to renovate and open the chapel for overcrowding just over a year ago? It is being utilized at only 30% capacity.

Follow me closely-It is my understanding the chapel can seat just a little over 400 people during each of the two morning services when it is open for a total maximum of 800 people on Sunday. The sanctuary (including balcony) can easily seat 1,100 comfortably each of the 3 services it is open on Sunday morning.

When you add up capacity for all three services in the sanctuary and chapel when they are open, you have a maximum capacity for 3,900 people on Sunday morning. With the exception of maybe Christmas and Easter EBC NEVER has over 2,700 in worship. So why in the world is you pastor pusing a new sanctuary when the capacity is only at 69%? That percentage drops to 63% if the Chapel was open for the 8 am service. You DO NOT build a 3rd multi million dollar sanctuary on campus when you have at lease 30% capacity currently.

My opinion is the push for a new multi million dollar sanctuary is strictly so Ben can reduce his preaching duties by one or possibly two times on Sunday morning. He and Travis have already reduced their involvement in Sunday night services.

I am afraid as Ben and Travis and their fee based, marriage focused road show ramps up you are going to see less and less of Ben in the pulpit or at the church than you all ready do.

The chapel is more than 30% filled when I'm in there. I'd say probably 75%.

The Bulletin shows no more than 250 attend any given week for both Chapel services. If capacity is 800 for both services then that puts it at only 32% full.

If you're a member then are you aware of Ben's personal security man while on church grounds? What is the reasoning behind that???

I thought that is what God's angel's are supposed to do... protect the pastors. Why is he so afraid of dying?

Typical big church ego.

I see not a lot has changed since I left 18 months ago. The security person makes me lol. Rest assured it is all for his ego as well as perceived image and status. If it were for real threats then he would have him away from the church.
In just over a year or two his side ministry will be in full swing and EBC will be left with nothing more than a part time preacher and music man.....
