LOL.... most Christians I have come across are the biggest bunch of prejudice and hateful persons. They love to smile to your face but stab you in the back. Then use the "I go to church" B.S. line when they are confronted. Face it.... church is wayyyyyyy over rated and used by most to hide. Church is not what it use to be, some think it is and some know the truth. Just look at the posts on Topix about the various churches in the area, they each are full of liars, cheaters, and just read them..... they speak for themselves. As for moral standards.... hahahaha Christian girls disprove that.... sorry...!!!!

But you respect enough. You responded. Good job. Now it seems that our local police department is involved in making remarks towards idiots on a gossip site. I'm sure you are a great reflection of professionalism. It's police like you who do little things like this and then next month another thing and then you're in the newspaper making all the other police looked down upon and mistrusted. Say something good next time you post and set an example next time you denote your scheduled shift.

Christians are full of mule feces when it comes to the idea of separation of church and state. Sure, they all want kids to be led in prayer in public school, but you never walk into church, sit down, and hear the minister say, "OK everyone, open up your algebra books."
When they start teaching math, science, and drivers ed in church, then they will convince me they really believe there is no separation of church and state. Till then, it's all lip service.
I love your name. i could probably learn a lot from you. I had my first man on man experience this past weekend. it was absolutely wonderful.

everything was ok ubtil i pulled out and saw a butter bean on my penis. It reminded me of you and i orgasmed all over again. your name and words are making me horny. i must go and tend to some rising matters.

I'm not really worried about garnering respect from anyone who refuses to acknowledge the Constitutional requirement of church-state separation. Did you know you likewise tickle me by being so enamored with me because of your loss in federal court; as if I were the one who actually filed the lawsuit. It tickles the shit out of me that find it worth your time to stalk me on this website. Did you know that Mayor? I understand though, you can't hope to touch the FFRF so you instead hold a witch hunt for local people who might not have taken your side and espoused your cause.
Tickled indeed...

fail again. winning is when you get out of a suit what you asked for when it was filed. ffrf did not get what they asked for,

read the original suit and the settlement, failed

I'm sorry but Whiteville paid the attorney fees of the FFRF, not the other way around. They paid their fees because they gave up, as in they knew they would loose. You lost, get over it already.
that maybe your opinion but that is not what the folks in whiteville think. my mom lives there and she says the cross is still on the water tower and the ladies in her card playing club say the town paid the extortion and ransom demand of ffrf to get their god hating ass out of town and leave them alone. next time i go i will go see what is on the tower but mom is usually alwys right.

Facts are not based on what the folks think.
There is part of a what use to be a Latin cross on the water tower, what people want to pretend they see is none of my concern. Someone had the bright idea to vandalize the thing and institute a mass delusion that something that use to be present is still present.
Yes, the 'extortion' and 'ransom demand' that was only paid after multiple letters were sent explaining the cross was a violating of the separation of church and state. Whiteville didn't have to pay the so-called 'extortion' and 'ransom demand' as they could have carried it to court and, had they won, would not have owed a dime.
Your accusation of 'god hating' is nonsensical. There is not evidence of this entity you are asserting and one cannot hate something they do not believe exists. If the FFRF is so 'god hating' then why did they not press for all the crosses to be removed? The answer is they were not filing the suit because they 'hate god', the suit was file because someone was usurping the power of civil government to promote and elevate their god above everyone else.
You don't have to go see it, save yourself the time and just check out the photos posted on the news. You will then need to decided if you will believe the facts or engage in willful self-denial and pretend to see what your mom sees.
wrong dude. that cross is still on the water tower. and while you and your buddies may have gotten one arm removed. you won the battle but lost the war.

if you think for one minute that cross is still not endorsing religion you are a damn fool. of course you are that anyway.

FFRF aued to have it taken down and it is still there along with the legacy it represents. you lost and they lost. this was the first time someone handed them there ass on a platter and they and there lawyer did not have any options except to take the monetery extortion payment and leave town.

i bet every time you see it, it is a cross because that is the first image imbedded in your brain.

You said something about the cross being embeded in people's brains. I just made a comment that the cross is an early age torture/murder instrument. My family doesn't like to look at torture devices. But hey, everyone different right?

You are a pitiful example of a Christian and the human race yourself. Judging others based on religious beliefs. I bet you think that I should burn in hell too right. That's a good person right there. Someone that is okay with that. Atheism is separation from religion. And for what reason? So that we do not put ourselves on pedestals above everyone else and think we are better because of what we believe in. Peace it the goal. I have just as much of a right to live and a reason to live as you or the next person. I love life and am a good person because in part because I do not judge others. I do not judge the gay, nor the black, nor the religious. But I am an earthworm haha good one.

Not to mention that I give to charity, have never killed, raped, done or sold drugs. But no morals. No no. You don't have to be religious to be a kind person.

That's a nice sentiment! I've treated many violent wounds ranging anywhere from bullet holes to stabbings to blunt force trauma. I've had people die right before my eyes in the ambulance on the way to the hospital. Not once have I ever seen the presence of god when I've done every thing I can to save them and they still die.

In my early years of my profession I lost a life in the ambulance due to the severe amount of blood loss caused by many bullet wounds. This person was shot several times by police after he opened fire on another police officer and killed him. The person wanted me to pray for his soul as were attempting to stop the bleeding. I recall a tattoo on his neck of praying hands. I simply continued on with trying to stop the bleeding and getting his vitals to a stable point. As he went into cardiac arrest we attempted everything we could do to restart his heart, but to no avail. This man was DOA. I always thought it was ironic how he wanted me to pray for him when not too long before that he took an officers life.
In my line of work I've seen more people that believe in some sort of god do more harm to others than not.
