If seperation of church and state is such a big deal. Why does chic fil a get a pass? They ask you about your church pastor etc. Before hiring you. They may even go as far as to speak with the pastor of your church before they hire you. There must not be to much seperation. If a food chain like chic fil a can hire people based on their religion why can't other places do the same?

I did some investigating on this and it turns out not exactly true but not exactly false either.

In one Houston case, a Muslim store manager was fired for not participating in a “group prayer to Jesus Christ at a company training program in 2000.” It was settled out of court. It’s kind of odd that anyone who is not Christian would make it past the gauntlet of interviews it takes to be hired at Chick-Fil-A. The interview process is apparently grueling, with its goal to root out the “immoral” people who don’t have its religious world view, and, likely to keep the organization out of court by screening these folks over and over to get them to volunteer personal.

Chick-fil-A has a 0 rating on the Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index, which signifies that the company does not offer one protection, one benefit, or even one diversity training for its LGBT employees.

Chick-fil-A has given at least $5 million to anti-gay organizations, including known hate groups and proponents of ex-gay therapy, since 2003, including almost $2 million in both 2009 and 2010.

Now, Chick-fil-A says that it will “treat every person with honor, dignity and respect – regardless of their belief, race, creed, sexual orientation or gender,” which sounds nice, but as the HRC score indicates, there is nothing to substantiate such a claim. There is no policy on the company’s books that actually protects LGBT people from discrimination, and funding hate groups cannot be justified as “honor, dignity, and respect.”

here again your lies and hatred show your ignorance and stupidity. faith is never an excuse for anything.it is like an anti virus program that runs silently in the backgroud but is always vigilant and springs into action when a threat emerges that does not jive with ones own personal beliefs,

you have very well shown that your faith has no limits when challenged, and quit trying to call attention to the real definition of faith.
you have it and you use it every time you pen one of these non-religious postings, the problem however is that you never know when to stop. you are a slowly making a real bore out of your self with the same old same old.

how about something new and invigorating? like an answer to the original question that fits the reality of the situation which is no , a police chief or sheriff will not knowingly hire one of you and your postings
show why.

That wasn't the point he was making.

The point he was making was that they WOULD NOT hire you because you were Christian, despite being the best qualifications. Thus meaning you would be equally upset.

You must have a really twisted understanding of the words "lie", "hate", "ignorance", and "stupidity". Those words are not intended to express butt-hurt for being schooled by someone who understands your mythical fairy-tales are mythical fairy-tales. But who are we kidding, you know the meaning of the words, your just at your wits end because I continue to correct your ignorance and vapidity.
Faith is like an anti-virus program? Really? I will admit, faith does "spring into action" when someone's is given facts that do not jive with their preconceived notion that a magic man is pulling the strings of reality. Faith springs into action by being an excuse to believe anything you want because you want it to be true. You want there to be a god, you want there to be a redeeming human sacrifice and you want to go to magic theme park after you die. Someone like me comes along and asked for evidence. Lacking any whatsoever, faith 'springs into action' because suddenly your own rational mind is threatening to overturn what you really want to be true. Faith subdues and beats back your rational mind and allows you to continue on in your delusion self-centered belief that YOU ARE THE CENTER OF ALL THINGS!
My faith? You're keep confusing 'faith' with 'evidence based thinking' and 'skepticism'. I know you're doing it on purpose in vain attempt to annoy me but it just adds to the many examples of your willingness to intentionally misapply the English language in order to make it appear as if my position is no different that yours. FYI: You're not fooling anyone. You're making yourself out to be kind of an idiot.
I know I must be getting to you, my constant and through routing of your nonsense, why else would you change the subject in your last sentence.
The original question, the one which even you have not answered was "DOES ANY ONE KNOW IF LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES HAVE A RULE OR BAN AGAINST HIRING ATHEISTS." The answer is 'not to my knowledge' but then again I don't have access to the policy manuals of every local law enforcement agency. I base my assumption on the fact that federal employment laws forbid discrimination based on religious affiliation. Although I cannot rule the possibility that a bigot like yourself might find himself in the position to make employment decisions and ignore the law in favor of your own religious prejudice.
Good you finally foun the right answer. And what is wrong with a polce chief or sheriff wnating to have officers around him who are like him in belief and the public they serve.

Forget that being against the law crap because it happens all the time. no one wants to deal with the mental issues you guys carry with you, like that big ass chip on your shoulders

State and Federal Law says you can't do it, that's what.
Chich-fil-a is not a government entity, though they may be violating the civil rights act by discriminating based on religion.
How would feel if you were the most qualified applicant for a job but were passed over because the owners were Muslim and you were a Christian. See how that works?
Ate there saturday. the place was a mob scene and 100 cars going in the drive thru.

Im prejudice because i want God fearing people to work for me? I think all companies should be allowed to ask their employees what religion they practice. most Christians have a higher moral standard than others. It would make for a better work environment

You are admittedly prejudice and you claim you have a higher moral standard.
Your hypocrisy knows no bounds I guess.
What higher moral standard do you think Christians profess over atheist?
If anything it is atheist who have the higher standard for morality. We believe this life to be the only one we will have. So it is of great importance to us that we make everyday count , better than the last , for a better tomorrow and a better future over all.
Christians spend their entire lives waiting for the next one always thinking that this life isn't as meaningful as the next one will be. Almost like a teenager who gets their first car and is told next year they will be getting a new Ferrari Enzo. The teenager with their first car isn't going to care and respect the car when they think they will be getting a

Ferrari in the next year.,Christians do the same thing. They don't treat this life with the upmost respect and care because they think there is something better for them ,they just have have to die to get there.

You can't fire someone for religious beliefs, regardless of it being a WORK AT WILL state. That is against state and federal law. You can, however, fire someone without reason.

But, for you to make such a comment is pathetic and sad. I am honestly glad that I don't know you in person because you give us Christians a bad name.

To think you would fire someone for religious beliefs is sickening. Oh my.

Not religious beliefs, just atheism. atheists are some of the most pompus, self righteous people i have ever met. They always seem to be trying to put others down because they feel that they are the smartest people on the planet. I don't blame Ppl for not wanting to work with them. I want to spend my time with other Christians who aren't constantly debating things. Even the things they know can't explain many things. It sickens me to think on the Pepsi cans they took God out of the pledge. Why do they have such a problem with it being in the pledge but they don't have a problem spending money that says "In God we trust."

I don't think I've ever met "pompous, self righteous" people more so than Christians themselves. You've already proved that to all of us here today.
