Wow. Really? Companies don't lay off because they are broke. They lay off when work is slow to keep from going broke. No company wants to pay employees to stand around.

Thats whats wrong with this country. IT all started with Reagan and then Karl Rove all about me generation. The wealthy people and big corporations sit on plenty of money but refuse to employ people. They should be obligated to do what is right for the country.

So the owners of the company that started the company from scratch with their own hard work should give up income because the economy is slow? I don't care if they're worth 50 billion dollars. It's THEIR money. They earned it, they should be able to do with it how they see fit. THAT is what's right for this country. Just because of their hard work and sacrifice they should give some of it back because not every body has as much as they do? That's as UNpatriotic as you can get. People wanting something for nothing. THAT'S what's wrong with this country.

"The comfort of the rich is dependent upon the abundant supply of the poor."

To those who will scratch their head at that, the rich always feel more comfortable when there are people to feel higher above. People with that much wealth is just unnatural and you'd never catch them in a soup kitchen to save their life. Gaining wealth by caring only about wealth. You could have all the money in the world and be a miserable human being.

Carl Kirkland is building the new cancer center in Jackson so I wouldn't say he doesn't give back I'd say that's pretty generous of him!!
