The benefits are many but to mention a few: pet time, pet sick time, insurance, retirement, bonuses, etc....
Just tell us what you've lost in the last 3 years. How much was your bonus? How is your 401k match? Did they drop your college student off your insurance? What do you have to do to get sick time? Is your sick day counted against you even with a doctors excuse? How much has your insurance went up. Are u not forced to do overtime. Did the not do away with bailie program and now nurses have to work weekends, missing church and time with family. Are there any 8 hour shifts, No.
This forum is called the real truth.
Sounds like most of the responses are by management or office personel. Again, it's terrible how thongs have changed at General.

Please do not think I am arguing with you....I have been a nurse (not a manager or office personell) for over 15 years. Yes, things have changed over the past while but so has the entire world. My bonus was probably similar to yours. I was glad to get it. We do not have a 401K program but my savings in my 403b is still there growly slowly as is the case with many of my co-workers. I work lots of overtime as I am needed and I feel that is my duty to my patients and my employer. I am assuming you meant Baylor and yes that was good ridance as it cost the Hospital too much money and actually caused budget deficits in the past. I work weekends and I miss church when I do. I have always explained to my children that I am doing God's work at the hospital when I cannot go to church with them and they understand. I believe I do God's work every day and try to be an example to those I serve. In fact, I would be a nurse now whether I received compensation or not.

If I was as unhappy as you sound, Nurses are needed everywhere. Take my advise and do not work anywhere that you are miserable. I was miserable at my first nursing job when I graduated nursing school and that was an awful experience.

At least, we are not in the same situation as many are. I take care of patients and have heard their stories of lost jobs, and barely surviving. I am thankful for working at JMCGH and for being able to provide for my family. Again, I hope you do not take my comments in a negative way and my heart is heavy in regard to your concerns. May God Bless You

I AGREE WITH YOU.I bet I know who you are just by reading your comments. Thanks for your sincere posts and your compassion. It is evident that you are a Nurse with heartfelt sincerity. Keep up the good work and if I am unable to take care of my own self, I want you as my care giver. We do have many at General who feel exactly like you do! God speed.

Sitting on your ass in an office. Figures.
Maybe you should try keeping up with one of the nurses for 12 hours, instead of your eight.
I think they are asking if JMCGH are hiring LPN's....and yes they are (must be interested in the benefits)

Danny, sometimes people get 'economically cornered' and cannot just shut the f$ck up and go work at a quick mart. It's like telling Jews if you don't like the Nazis then quit being a Jew and don't get in line for the concentration camps.

Oh i see they are killing the nurses now.... you take the worst thing in history and compare it to nursing! A jew cannot stop being a jew....a nurse can stop being a nurse. Your IQ must be around room temp.

nurses have nothing to complain about. they have a job. they get paid very well. these days what more can you ask for? i guess they would rather switch roles with some of their patients who are being raped by the ridiculous prices one pays for getting sick.....

nurses are some of the most drug abusers there is. some just go into nursing just to try to get pills and make good money to buy more pills and make more connections. alot of them are smokers, fat and in bad health themselves. they try to act like their so good when in reality their not

Jew ( Judaism) is religion. One can convert anytime one chooses. What is your IQ? It is not a race or genetic condition. Furthermore, I implied your logic is as flawed as telling the like do just stop and something different even though it is a conditioning of their life and results of their hard work and monetary investment.

What a lot of yo "uninformed" people on here do not realize is that the economy has had a big factor in the cutbacks at WTH. People are without jobs and are therefore without insurance. Many people are simply not going to the hospital due to the economy. Elective surgery is way down and the hospital does not make any money off of TNCare and MediCare. The dedicated health care workers are there because they do care! I know personally that they have had to take a lot of cuts, but they remain faithful and are hoping that things will improve. And, yes, there are jobs posted everyday for those who are looking.

I am not sure if you are just plain jealous that you are young and Rosa took your man or clueless. Whatever she does outside of being a wonderful nurse doesn't matter. The fact is that Rosa saved my life not once but twice, so I and the many others she has helped/saved could careless to what she does on her own time. She is an amazing nurse. So get over it and get a life!
