Put the Times story together with the Telegram's story to get a bigger picture (since the 2 are a whole lot different)and you have to ask... why is Mr. Evans reporting 60 sheets stolen and Mr. Marcum admitted to taking exactly 39? And just how did Mr.Evans get tipped off to the exact location of where the police where when questioning a suspect? Once again, something stinks. Sounds to me like Mr/ Evans was attempting to double his insurance claim. And I'm sure his "shove" didn't scare Marcum into confessing as the Times story tries to insinuate.

Good for him. Nothing worse than a thief. If he was going to get charged for fighting either way, he should have punched the thieving bastard in the face.

I doubt he would turn a 1000 dollar claim in to insurance and assault charges will not stick. Likely this story will just go away.

Good for him! There is nothing worse than a thief! People need to stick up for themselves and protect their belongings! Nobody else is going to do it for you! If this kind of thing happened a little more often maybe thieves would think twice....they barely even get slapped on the hand these days.

You idiot. Quit trying to create drama and make something more than it is. He solved the crime himself and was the one that gave the police all the information and evidence they needed. Therefore, considering he was in contact with police that morning he would have known what they were going to do and where they were going to be. I really doubt he will turn this small claim into insurance anyway.... Nice try. You are really stupid.

He " solved the crime ". Give me a break. The person who took the pictures did ! As far as him hitting or shoving Marcum that was uncalled for. He is becoming a poor excuse for a school board member/president.

How did Evans get tipped off? If you can read he was the one who solved the whole thing.....he tipped the police off...so I am sure he knew exactly what was going down first hand. Were you there? I didn't think so, therefore you are the only one insinuating.

No, actually stealing and then lying about it is what was uncalled for! You are a good example of exactly why such problems have gotten out of control. Poor ol Marcum got shoved....give me a break. Get real. He should have gotten a whole lot more than a shove. Idiots like you taking up for worthless and pathetic lowlife scumbags.....and trying to blame the victim. Comical.

No, actually you are wrong. The person that took the pictures collected the evidence. The person (Evans) that put everything together solved the crime. Shoving someone who stole your possessions and tried to lie about it is uncalled for?!?!?!....Wow, you must have no backbone. I hope you don't have a family or children or anyone else to protect.

The police was right there ! No need for shoving ! Wonder why he didn't shove a certain husband that beat the crap out of him a couple months ago ? BACKBONE ? I THINK NOT ! LOL
