Pearl River's Kelly Hayes finished first in a time of 17 minutes, 49 seconds, the second fastest in course history, leading the Pirates to a first-place showing in the Varsity D race Saturday at the Six Flags Wild Safari Cross Country Invitational in Jackson, N.J. Laura Cooper and Catherine Rayward finished seventh and ninth for Pearl River.
