This week Troop 104 in Jackson lost the scoutmaster and assistant scout master, then in an immediate shift 43 boys followed the leaders to New Egypt to start a new boy scout troop.

The committee memebers and the leaders have no answers as to why 7/8 of the boys and the leaders left the troop in short notice. They claim that nothing happened, but most everyone left.

When the committee chairman was asked last night as to what happened, he simply replied that he could not divulge. What is the secret?

Long story short, the troop and the scout leaders have had enough of the mistreatment of the leaders, and has had enough of the good boy scouts being referred to as "little nit wits" by the committee chairpman.

The committee and committee members left at Troop 104 should be ashamed of their behavior and immediately resign their posts.

We urge the removal of these folk from scouting itself.

Who is he to call them "little nit wits", what does he call them if no one is around. I don't think this is what boy scouts is about. He should be removed from his post and scouting altogether if he is the reason so many left. Its a rough world and he is not setting a good example. I would have pulled my sons also. Sounds like the committee left there are covering something up. SCARRY!!!

Yea, really to call them nitwits. He should be made to go spend a weekend in the woods with your little darlings. that would teach him. Oh, wait. he's probably done that. No wonder he calls them nitwits, they probably are.

yeah, being in troop 104, more recently and after this event happened, i have to ay this troop is now a complete reversal of what is posted. now there is all new people in the troop, including comitte members. it is now a small, but successful troop. we should not have to deal with this put-down situtation any longer
