Bad ebay policies that adversely affect sellers are resulting in everyone from small sellers to Super and Top rated sellers on ebay leaving the site. A look at ebay Discussion Board threads reveals horror stories of 21-day holds by ebay on sellers' Paypal funds, lower placement of sellers' items in search, and a general climate of dissatisfaction.

Amazon and Bonanza primarily. Though Etsy and eBid are picking up some as well.

I have almost 12000 positive feedbacks and and just A few negatives since 1998.I was responsible for getting around 50 people in my area selling on ebay but for some reason they are now holding my money for 21 days.No one contacted me with these ebay dashboard issues they are claiming. All I can think of is that it is A scam to collect interest off of money that does not belong to them. That is not legal but no one is stopping them.I just started selling antiques on etsy and jewelry on ruby lane and will soon phase out ebay all together.between the 2 the sales are about the same and the fees are almost nothing compared to ebay.ebay is ripe for con artist looking to put one over on sellers it happens to me all the time.twice last month I got items returned with different parts on them than when they left.No use in even contacting ebay about it they do not have you back

An attorney would a very good article and posted it on one of the PayPal Discussion Boards about how to deal with the 21-day hold. here's the link: https://www.paypal-community.com/t5/How-to-us...

A major glitch erupted at ebay this morning with the departure of LiveWorld from ebay. At the time of this writing the issue remained unresolved.

Starting in 2008, ebay put into place a series of bad policies that disproportionately impact small sellers (who are essentially being gradually "weeded out").

Each year since 2008 has gotten steadily worse for sellers on ebay, and thousands have already left as a result and more are leaving every week.

The flawed DSR system at ebay is driving many small sellers off. It adversely impacts the "little guy" more quickly and more severely than it does the high volume seller.

15,000 sellers were not given a choice last week. They were blocked from selling, restricted, suspended, or outright banned from ebay in a well-publicized "purge".

Here are the various ways and steps that can be taken to rattle eBay's cage: 1) Contact an investigative reporter at a local newspaper and/or TV station, explain in detail your experiences with eBay and that yours is far from isolated, it's happening to thousands nationwide 2) Blog, blog, blog about the various unfair policies and actions by eBay that are of questionable legality. Tumbler, Blogger, WordPress, Topix Forum are all free and easy to use 3) Contact the Attorney General's office Consumer Affairs division for the state wherein you reside (you can Google contact info) 4) Make comments regarding eBay's unfair trade policies after online articles that appear (USA Today, Huffington Post, Washington Post) and after the financial articles regarding eBay stock (Forbe's, WSJ, Seeking Aloha, etc.) 5) Contact your Congressman and Senator for your state in Washington DC (you can Google contact info) FAXING works best for this one, or a registered Priority Mail packet that has to be signed for. Inform them in as accurate, truthful, and detailed a manner as you can about your own bad experiences and HOW EBAY HAS PLACES ITSELF ABOVE THE LAW and is engaging in unfair trade violations.
