They do not care about the residents. It is all about how much money they can save and do nothing for the reaidents

A typical resident is in a home using their social security and medicare benefits. There is no money left in the account for the resident to purchase other things. It falls on the family of the resident to purchase things like nicer comforters or room decorations. If the family is poor, nothing will be purchased. Let alone clothing and diapers for the resident.
It's not always the facility who is lacking.

That has nothing to do with it cause at Jackson manor their are alot of private pay resident were they pay everything out of their own pocket. Jackson manor has to many employees that don't care about their jobs so they do as little as possible.

My mother has had three stays in nursing homes. The first was Jackson Mannor, then Monticello, then Ratliff Care Center.

I will not go into specifics, but Jackson Manor has got to be an example of the worst of the worst. I would not even board my dog there.

Monticello is better when it comes to care, but their med techs are the weak link. Like Jackson Manor, greatly understaffed and the food sucks.

Ratliff Care Center in Cape Girardeau is an exception to the stereotype one has on nursing homes. The owners are there everyday, if anything, they are overstaffed at times, they take EXCELLENT care of their residents, it is a smaller facility filled with exceptional, happy employees who really do care for their residents. Get this... When you hit the call button, they actually come!:) If ever I have to go to a nursing home, I will go to Ratliff.

My mother was at the Monticello and she was private pay. No help from medicaid. All that I will say is that they care more for the building and the decorations on the walls. The furniture and the looks then they care for the residents. Be sure you make visits when they won't expect you. Go at different times each time you go. God bless your family member that has to end up in ANY nursing home.
