Pug Man

I am looking for someone that may have a fawn or black female un-spayed female pug they may like to breed with my black pug. He is 2 1/2 years old and a really great little guy. The ODD thing about him is that he is a VERY quiet sleeper!, I mean he rarely snores and snorts like most pugs do.. I am not sure if just genetically he has more open sinuses or what but I was thinking that if this is a genetic trait that he could pass on it could be great! Well, contact me back on here and I will get back with you.

I have two boys myself, both are neutered.
My stance on breeding is only those close enough to the standard should be bred, i.e. show dogs.
Otherwise, it's a very selfish way to make money.

So,,,, Two-Pug Parent.... firstly and I not trying to "make money" by breeding my Pug. Apparently he has a genetic trait that, if passed on could be extremely benificial to the breed. My dog is absolutely "show quality". If these puppies end up "not" having breathing (respiratory) problems like most pugs I think it would be a very good thing.

Breeding dogs for show purposes is bad. You think there smashed faces and their breathing issues is natural? It's not, its from overbreeding and inbreeding. These "desirable" traits are genetic issues that you don't want( or I should say your dog doesn't want). The adverse health conditions of these breeds are sad and in humane.

I completely agree that the perpetuation of the malformation of all brachycephalic breeds isn't desirable. My point was that there is no reason to be a "backyard breeder". We already have millions of dogs sitting on death row that need loving homes - and for every puppy a backyard breeder finds a home for, is a home that could've saved a death row dog. Backyard breeders are motivated by (selfish) greed, not by the love of the breed.

Breed the pugs. They look like little chicken fryers all skinned up and beheaded.

Its always amazes me how some people want to preach about spay and nueter. And that is fine but if everybody did it except show breeders no normal person could afford to buy one. And as far as the millions of dogs and cats in pound not everybody wants to adopt an animal they have no knowledge of the backround such as genetic and temperment issues. I for one would rather go to someones home and meet the dogs parents so I can see what I might expect it to turn out to be. I made the unfortunate choice to adopt not once but two different times in my life. First time was told the dog got along with everyone but checked and tested. Well guess what she bit my sister and my neighbor and animal control deemed her vishious. They put her down and oh oops sorry we didnt know. But I tried again got a dog I fell in love with and 4 months later he could not walk from hip displasia. So dont tell people about all those animals some of us want a pet for more than a few months. I bought my current dog from private not show dog breeder and have had a wonderful healthy best friend for 6 years.

I am looking for a black male pug to breed with my 18 month old female fawn. I would be willing to give you pick of the litter in lieu of any stud fees. I have some friends who would like to have a pug of their own. I do not need papers on him. I live in St. Louis. If this is something you would be willing to consider, please email me at [email protected] and we can talk from there.
