Make excuses..... Never leave a 4 year old outside without an adult. And what the hell...... How did this driver not see her? Wasnt she at a stop sign then turning?? Are charges going to be filed??? I hope so!!!! And if this child was outside alone on other occasions and YOU failed to report it then you also failed this child.... So very sad. Go ahead and tell me it was just an accident and the brother was watching her or grandma was only gone for a minute.... You failed this child by doing all of the above.

No slack from me. It was a Childs life. It could have been prevented. You don't leave your kids alone. I'd feel guilty too deserve every min of it for failing my child. Wake up!!! Its not perfect out there. Crazy drivers, child molesters, kidnappers.....too many reason why u shouldn't leave a child alone or w a freaking 9 year old. That's what's wrong w this world.... We say ohh how sad and move on and let shit slide just so history can repeat itself. ITS NOT OK!!! QUIT GIVING PEOPLE A SLAP ON THE HAND!! Its a Terrible message to let parents think they can leave their child inadequately supervised and if they day then no consequences!

I'd say it was more than a small mistake. If Someone was suppose to be watching your child and left them alone which resulted in their death..... Can you seriously say you'd defend the person who neglected your child fuck no!!!! I'd be enraged!!! It would then be my mistake for trusting that person ! Again all parents make mistakes..... Id call this more than that!

WOW is absolutly correct. This is far more than a simple mistake. It is the parents responsibility to care for this poor child and they failed to do that, mistakes like this cannot be corrected.Yes she has to live with it and Im sure she feels awful, any parent would, regardless if they are a good or bad parent!!but you cannot expect the public to have sympathy for her.IT WAS THE PARENTS FAULT!!!!!
and now there is a fundraiser for em at REGIONS Bank......money wont bring this innocent child back!!!!!

It was a complete accident. The child was with her grandma and outside with all of them and had to run the smaller child in the house. The 4 year old fell down in the road and if you know the area this is not a big busy area and the children would have been completely safe. DO NOT JUDGE TIL YOU HAVE BEEN IN THEIR SHOES!! Her older brother was trying to help her up and I am sure there was some playing as all children do the person that hit her seen her brother and swerved and the girl was still on the ground that is why she didn't see her. Can you not just leave this poor family in peace and not have some sympathy and not be all mighty acting like you all are so perfect!!

How Dare you people get on here and talk trash about what has happened! YOU PEOPLE MAKE ME SICK! You have no right to criticize, point your fingers, or make statements of should have, could have, and would haves! This is a terrible accident that could happen to ANYONE! and I PRAY TO GOD that it doesn't happen to any of your families! How bout a little love and support for this family. They lost their child people. And what about the woman that hit her, right now I don't think anyone really knows exactly how she didn't see the girl but how would you deal with having to live with that guilt for the rest of your life.

This is what is wrong with our world today, people are so quick to judge and point finger and think that they can do it better than someone else. Where's the understanding and compassion for man kind??? Of course I should expect this from the people in the city of Kelso, You people are so stuck up you'd drown in the rain if you went outside! Why don't you all stop and take a minute to think about how you would feel if it was one of your own. Take a long look at your child's or loved ones face at night when you go to lay down for bed and think about what it would feel like to never see their face again, hear their voice, or be able to hold them again. Maybe then you'll think twice about what you write on here and maybe even apologize for what you have wrote!

My prayers and the Prayers of my church go out to this family and the woman that was driving the truck!

I'm sure you'd like to see that but won't happen in my lifetime. I dont leave my child alone. You may say I'm over protective.... Oh well. Stating the facts is not talking trash. Once again if it were your child and someone failed to watch her.... I doubt you'd just be ok with it. If so, well then that would say alot about you. It's not 1950 people you can't let your kids freely roam even if you THINK you live on a safe street. It would be a shame if this girls life was taken and nobody had any consequences.

You are absolutely right. If this were someone else's child, shit would hit the fan. Leaving a 4 year old outside is more than a mistake, it is carelessness. No parent is perfect, but any good parent knows not to leave a small child outside by themselves, especially when you live close to the road. In this situation, I can't feel sorry for anyone but the little girl.

Consequence? They paid the ultimate consequence, their child is gone forever! Punishment? again their precious angel is no longer with them, is that enough for you WOW, are you satisfied now? You cannot predict what will happen in your lifetime as far as children are concerned, accidents happen within seconds. God forbid anything happen to your children, but it could and sometimes you just don't have control and even when you do it can still happen. You have made your point, what are you really trying to accomplish? And 1950 does not matter, accidents like this happened back then too. You are not perfect and I am certain have made small careless mistakes in regards to the safety of your children, you are just lucky or blessed to have them with you. This grandmother allegedly went into the house for a second and this happened. I am sure you don't have your eyes glued to your kids every second, it just is not possible.

You have the attitude most people have. It was an accident but we have to punish someone. It does'nt matter who but we have to blame somebody.IT WAS AN ACCIDENT!!!

Try to insult me all you want. I didn't neglect my child that resulted in their death. By all means say what u want if it makes you feel better. Ya I'm a perv bc I protect my child LMAO..... Is that really all you could come up with. You must be disturbed to even have that thought run thru your mind. Bruce maybe I can babysit for you sometime. I might just go inside while your 4 year is outside.... If she gets hit then you'll forgive me right.... It was a mistake, nobody is perfect, I'll feel guilty.... But all will be ok. I'll just walk away and you will have lost a child..... That's sounds ok right??? You can say what you want.... I HAVE MY OPINION AND YOU CAN'T CHANGE IT AND I HAVE THE FREEDOM TO STATE IT..... just as you do.
