Jackson does indeed hire a lot of former students to teach in the district. I think that the two major reasons for this are: new hires right out of college are cheaper and NEPOTISM! Take a close look at all the relatives of administrators and board members who are employed by the district. Then, take a look at all of the friends of the above who have children, spouses etc. employed by the district. It is mind boggling and yes I was once employed by the district, right out of college and my husband was a close associate of my hiring principal, thus I know what I am talking about. The practice has become very much out of hand and is bound to garner higher scrunity very soon.

The school district is not a government institution so there are no nepotism rules to be broken. Get over it. If my memory serves me right the last 4 times teachers were dismissed, they were not former students in the district, which leads me to believe that the hiring practice of hiring former students is a good idea. Former students know not to violate moral temets of the community that they have lived in all their lives. Outsiders when you get right down to it, don't care about our community's reputation and legacies. I say keep up the hiring from within practices. Where I work there are dozens of sets of brothers, fathers and sons, mothers and sons,,,,,etc who are employed in our factory. I wonder why? Because the company figures if one sibling is a good worker, and he was raised by the same parents, or raised in the same family they will have the same values and morals and work ethic as the rest of the group. It has worked out fine for our business because we have the best running plant in the division because of the people we hire, work with, and retain.

She committed adultary...that's illegal in my books. But if the government doesn't care about affairs then why should I right? That's fucked up. Just because government officials don't want to get in trouble for messing around with their mistresses it is fully legal to have extramarital relationships. That is a buncha bullshit. Cheating should be a crime because it hurts so many people than the betrayed individual. This society needs to grow a pair and man up to the vows they committed to when they said "I do"!

I am glad she is no longer a teacher. I hope she never teaches anywhere again. She broke a major trust. I will soon have children in high school and do not want to fear a predator in their midst. She also has affected her husband's reputation with his job.

Honestly people, the teacher in question broke trust barriers assumed with Jackson students and their parents at JHS. That being said, the students also made a decision, as well. I heard from a co-worker that knows the boys in question, and was told that they bragged about it. Obviously, they had no regrets.
I am positive that if this had been a male teacher, he would have been arrested, despite breaking no 'real' rules. What really needs to be put into place is a rule that makes it illegal for a student-teacher relationship, making this something punishable under the law. Yes, we all make mistakes, but teachers should know what's wrong and right if they are teaching our children.
why should it be made illegal for a student-teacher relationship. if the two people involved on the acts are of age i really don't think it is anyone's business even if they are still in school. its those adults private lives and if no body is underage who cares.

no the reason it is not illegal is because the laws of this country are not dictated by the bible. just because something is not allowed in the bible it doesn't mean it should dictate the law. government and religion should be kept apart, otherwise you couldn't be fair everybody's veiwpoints and beliefs.

I'm not talking about the fucking bible u dunce I don't even believe
in that book of lies. I'm just referring to the committment that the two
"adults" made when they said "I do" maybe you should go back to
school so you can learn how to read and comprehend what you are
reading or would you be too tempted to have an affair with your teacher

My son is a senior this year at Jxn and if she had done that with him, I'd have no problem beating her ass. She should be prosecuted as a sexual predator.
