Yes. And who could blame them. My kids have had both of them and they were both so good. i hope the district realizes what they have lost.

I agree. They are both wonderful teachers. My kids loved them - seemed to genuinely care about teaching and their students. They will be missed.

One did decide to be a stay-at-home mom. The other...well, she was more or less forced out by Rita Fisher.

And I wonder why she was forced to resign? School board do you know why or do you not have a backbone to stand up to Dr Fisher!? You were elected to represent Jackson families and until you can stand up for what you truly know is best for our district, then everyone of you needs to go...along with a new administration!

Wish I could afford to send my kids to a private school because we do not like her either. It is truly amazing that such a wonderful school could be torn apart in two years after Mr Gross left. My kids hate going to school now. The poor teachers are so stressed out. They put on their fake smiles and are trying to stay positive for the kids. It's just a whole different world walking into that building. I hate it for the teachers and the kids. I sure hope the school board or administrators wake up before lose all their wonderful teachers there.

Jackson School District Administration has become norhing more than a status symbol and ego feed for those involved. Sad. It's turned the Jackson school system a snobby caricature of education.

The Criddle lady who was only in the classroom for a short time herself has this my way or the highway attitude. She is rude, treats her staff like crap, and the students. Heaven for bid you child get into the least bit of trouble cause she will call you at work 10 times a day over nothing. She'll make your child walk the box for a week or make him or her do boot camp with coach before school over nothing. I have for a fact heard her talk to the students like they are dogs.
So far 3 teachers have left. I know for a fact several more are looking. One was offered another position, but declined it because they couldn't afford to.
As for the district that doesn't teach spelling, you got that information correct. Heaven for bid you say anything they'll hang you out to dry. Just wait, if your kid's going into kindergarten the Criddle lady made them stop doing the letter people. You can not have any type of fun while learning anymore. After kindergarten it just gets worse from there. You're kid will work their butt off to make 100 on a test (eventhough they don't have scores anymore) and they will be in the same category as the kids who made an 80% or a kid who had to take the same test 10 times. Then, when they get in middle school it's back to reality. 1 shot on a test ect. My kid had at least 4 test a week and that was if he didn't have to re-take a test. He hated school. Loved his teacher, but daily would come home saying school isn't fun anymore all we do is test- test-test. By the time the big huge MAP test came around he could careless and as a parent I could careless too. Best of luck to you and your experience at North.

I went to North back when Mr. Stover was there and my child went to North. It was an awesome school back then and I would have paid to send my child there had I not lived in North's territory. It's sad to see it's going downhill. Very sad. This used to be the best school to go to.

I agree it did use to be the greatest school in the whole district now I'm not sure any of them are fit to go too. All the wonderful principals that stood ip for their school and behind their teachers have left. Now that they have their yes men in place Lord only knows what's going to happen. I'm sure they are going to lose a lot of great teachers. Too sad!

I went to north when mr. Gross was principal and I loved school. This past year, my senior year, I had to do some afterschool work at north for a club I was in and the new principal was straight-up rude. I hope something can be done. It's sad to see both the 5th grade teachers go though, they were both excellent teachers.

Isn't it sad that one person can ruin a school. School board wake up and do your job, oh wait I forgot Rita has you wrapped around her finger too. A former school board member said he got off because everyone was scared of Rita. Pretty pitiful isn't it!

Sounds to me like Jackson needs to clean house. Starting with the top dog Fisher, then working their way down with the board and the new principals that Rita put in there to be her puppets.
Really people it's time to think about the students!

North Elementary was amazing!!!! I went there and loved Mr. Gross he never raised his voice with when wanting our attention he would always lower his voice to get our attention or playing his clapping game quietly i loved it. Even the kids that would always be in trouble loved him and respected him! We were the only Elm. school in the distric at the time that got have 3 recesses because we were so well behaved and Mr. Gross always told us how much subsituts loved coming to our school because we were such good kids, when they had to sub at the Middle school they could always tell which kids came to North and which ones came from other schools. We always had fun when learning and always got rewarded for our efforts too. In 3rd grade when learning our times tables we got to have an ice cream party and each times table was worth a topping! It really saddens me to hear that this school along with the rest are going down hill. It's really making me change my mind about if I would want to send my kids to Jackson when I have kids.... Someone should really get the news on Rita's ass! get their attention on this so we can get her kicked out! Don't even get me started on the High School Special Needs department, they are horrible and it really saddens me that they cover up just how horrible the teacher and some aids really are!
