I was referred by my doctor to see Dr. Zuletta in Jackson, Im not from around Jackson and have no real clue about the area. Is he a good doctor or am I wasting my time coming to see him instead of going on to Tennessee? Im not downing him I just am tired of being jerked around.

He only doctors you if you have insurance, medicade or medicare a you pay the co-payment up front. You have to have him paid in full from one month to the next or he won't treat you. He's a smart mouth anymore, used to be real nice but not now.

I just went to him for the very first time a couple of weeks ago. He was really nice to me and so was everyone else in his office. I don't know about his payment arrangements, but I paid cash because I don't have any insurance and his office visit to see him was only $38, which I think was a good price. I will continue seeing him as my doctor in the future.

Ill do anything to get to feeling better. They are sending me to him for problems with my thyroid. They said he was a specialist in this field. Im not really familiar with the area where is his office located?

He is a pretty decent endrocrinologist, as for a family practice md-- he is so,so! It being your first visit I can see him taking more time with you and ordering the appropriate labs and prob a thyroid scan--he'll explain.
The other person was right about the insurance! You must pay your co-pay up front or you will not see the doctor! Most insurance companies are set up so that if you see a specialist, like him--you will pay a higher co-pay. That is how mine is, so you might want to check on that before you go? Just some fyi...Oh and his office is just off HWY 15(if you are coming from Haz) it's on the right just past Wal-mart. His office is directly on top of the hill< turn right as soon as you see the big wooden welcome 2 Jackson sign! Hope that helps ya!

Yes he is...The only endocrinologist in the county that I know of. Hes not a "family physician" persay, he meerely treats pts with diabetes and thyroid disorders. Has been my sisters physician for years now because she has hypoparathyroidism and he started out being her family physician but, he no longer treats pts without either of those disorders. I do agree though that he can be a smartass (not my Dr though so..)but, my sister really likes him and thats all that matters :)...hope I could help...

My husband went to him for seven years and had good insurance, but he became sick lost his job and insurance and had to pay cash. Zuletta told him unless he had insurance, medicare or medicade then he would have to go to the breathitt clinic to get his welfare needs and handouts. He was real smart mouthed about it and I was in the room with him. Find another doctor.

He is a horrible doctor. He knows little to nothing about thyroid and endocrine disorders, not to mention diabetes.
