I got into a short discussion the other day with a person that is totally against alchol drinking christians. He sees nothing wrong with a preacher smoking. I, myself, believe a smoking preacher puts a stench in the nostrils of God. Smokers stink, smokers clothes stink, smokers cars stink, smokers houses stink, smokers kids stink. I may not go as far as to say, "Smoking will send you to hell", but I will say smoking makes you smell like you have been to hell. Smoking litteraly kills thousands upon thousands of people and disables thousands more. I say that any one who smokes and proclaims he is God's spokesperson needs to reexamine his life and heart and how bad he or she smells. I will take a drinking preacher over a smoking preacher hands down. Thanks to God, I do not have to take either. I leave with these final words to all of the smoking preachers out there. "God can deliver you from the deadly grasp of that deadly tobacco in all of it's hideous forms and shapes. I fail to see how those that love their children could ever smoke around them. BE DELIVERD TODAY BY THE POWER OF GOD.

maybe instead of worrying about others, you should work on yourself and that little habit you have of judging others......

Are you serious. Someone really cares about a preacher that smokes. For Heaven Sakes who the hell cares if he smokes or not. Being judgemental will send you to hell not smoking.

Let me enlighten you, if you can understand simple words, God'd word states that "Our bodies are a temple of His Holy Spirit and that those things that deile the body is a sin". even this dumb hillbilly can understand those simple words. I have no use for a stinking preacher. I believe that he or she is a disgrace to the pulpit. "By their actions you shall know them". If you arer ssmoking preacher ask God to deliver you from that terrible and stinking addiction that is destroying you and stinking up everything around you. According to a recent national poll "Smokers are one of the largest groups of litters in this country". If you doubt this poll just take a look at most intersections and parking lots in this county. How do you folks stand being around a stinking smoker and how can you tolerate listening to a "Smoking Preacher". I believe that when God Saves one from sin He delivers them from all appearances of evil and unhealthy habits. "Smoking Preachers" can be delivered. They just have to turn it over to God---just like the drunk does and like the "Smoking Preacher" believes the drunk or the drinker does.
These "Smoking Preachers" would not tolerate a drinking Christian in their ranks, but as for, "Me and my house, we will take the "drinking preacher" over the "Smoking Preacher" hands down. Even the Mighty Non-smoking Apostle Paul stated in the Holy Bible that "A little wine doeth the stomach [body] good". Thank you for your kind attention and for not interrupting me while I was "smoking", uh, uh. I mean typing at the keys. Now i am going to go have a litle glass [8 oz] ofgood red wine. "Lord, forgive all of those "Smoking Preachers" out there that see no harm in their stinking, filthy, and dangerous habit of "smoking", because if they do not clean up their habit they just might get put in the "smoking section" on the other side [eternity]. lET ME BE A LITTLE JUDGEMENTAL FOR A MOMENT HERE CHRIS. I believe that God cares if you "smoke". It deiles the body which is, "A temple of the Holy Ghost". And, Smoking maketh a man or woman stinketh and if they smoketh in their house it also stinketh, and their clothes stinketh, and also their car and their truck stinketh. Can you understand Chris, "Smoking is a dirty, filthy, stinking habit and most "smokers' polluteth God's earth because they levveth the little tiny bits of that which they smoketh lying all over God's earth. Yes, Chris it is still God's earth even if Al Gore does not recognize that fact and continues in his fantasy world of "Global Warming Make Belief. And I will make one last judgemental thought here, "Unless Al Gore repents before God e will have reservations in the "smoking" side of eternity. Pray for me Chris, if your prayers are prayers of genuine concern; because I need all of the sincere prayers I can get. I need to be strong as I witness to all of the "Smoking Preachers" that i come into contact with, because some of them get down right hostlie. I do not recall be hostile a trait of Chjristianity and we are being hostile towards the guy that runs the "smoking' section over in eternity. THANKS FOR TAKING TIME TO READ MY WORDS OF WISDOM AND HOPE. GOD BLESS ALL OF US DUMB HILLBILLIES. So long until we once again meet on the TOPIX side of thought and wisdom.

Well, i do not think so. Smoke is deadly wrong, smoking kills. Smoking is just a slow way of suicide and suicide is wrong and smoking makes a stinker out of those that suck on those deadly little sticks. Aman, brother.

Allow me to enlighten you a little bit... Drinking can kill quicker than smoking. You can't seriously be thinking you are a child of God if you say the things you have said on this thread. A child of God wouldn't get on here and go on and on about people smoking and how it's better to drink than smoke. Drinking affects the body too in case you didn't know. Your words are far from being words of wisdom. I, on the other hand am quite wise so listen to this... Drinking and smoking both affect your body. A drinking preacher is the same as a smoking preacher in that aspect. And since you have such an issue with the way smoke smells... Can you not smell a person who drinks? They stink just the same. Sorry but you need some help in that small mind of yours. Wake the hell up...

They seen Jesus begin to eat without washing his hands. They asked his why he didn't wash them before he ate?

Jesus said, "It's not what goes into the mouth the defiles the body. It's what comes out of the mouth that defiles the body".

What Jesus was talking about, things that go into the body can only hurt the body. Words that people let come out of their mouths can destory the soul.

The Bible also says no STRONG DRINK should touch your lips. I wastuaght not to argue over the Bible. You are one that takes certain scripture and uses them for your gain.U need to stop judging and clean up ur own life.

I agree, When the people picked up stones and began to stone the unclean woman, Jesus said, "Who here that is without sin cast the first stone". Jesus walked around with the stone in hand and no one would take the stone from him. Then after that, Jesus walked up to the woman and said to her, "Go and sin no more."

Even though we might live with the word of God, and call ourselves christians, that doesn't mean we can't sin. Jesus said, "None is without sin".

They said to Jesus, "Jesus, you are good."

Jesus replied, "No one is good, not even I. Only my Holy Father that is in Heaven is good."

If you have read the Holy Bible, even Jesus had to prove he was above sin. Jesus was tempted for 40 days and nights by satan, the old serpent, which is called the devil.

We live with sin every day, it's all around us. So to point a finger at someone else, think about what Jesus said about the stone.

why does everyone have to be so judgemental about a preacher who smokes. no where does it say in the bible that you will go to hell if you smoke or chew tobacco. Now the preacher may need to quit for his own health but I don't see any sin in the smoking of the cig. smoking is not a good habit to have and it does really do a number on your health but it is not a sin that will keep you out of heaven. We are not suppose to put things into our body that hurts it but when we go to mcdonalds and eat french fries and big macs we are hurting our body. When we eat pork and fat meat we are hurting our body. To smoke or not is an individual desicion and it sure does not keep you from heaven

Smoking is a habit, so is drinking or taking drugs. Wrather we do these things or not, we all have to stand in Judgement for the life we live, wrather we lived a religious life or not.

Jesus and Our Holy Father will judge us acording to our works. Our names will be in the Book of Life or in the Book of Rememberance. Once judged we will be sent to Heaven with Jesus or sent to The Lake of Fire. Of course the Holy Bible tells us that some is already judged while on earth, the Bible calls them the ungodly. The Bible says they'll be plucked up and cast into The Lake of Fire.

Also, the Holy Bible says some will be brought out of Hell (the ones that called upon Jesus) and Judged and sent to heaven.

Hey, STUF89" you are so right both drinking and smoking are sinful, because they both destroy the body. I was only testing the waters to see if anyone out there was brave enough to agree with me. I do say that anyone who steps behind the pulpit and after he/she is done with the preaching and rushes outside to light one up has no business condemning one who drinks. No. put that in your pipe and smoke it.

A cigarette doesn't define if a person is a man of god or not. That is just stupid to even say.Drinking isn't a sin getting drunk is the sin IMO, and to be honest I could care what others do, a true Christian wouldn't get on here and judge people like you have.Your one of those 2faced Christians huh? you have one face on Sunday, and another the rest of the week huh darlin? if people worried more about their own back yard instead of every one elses theres wouldn't be so dirty.

If He didn't want us to smoke and drink, then why did He make cigarettes and beer sooooo delicious? I guess some people are perfect and can cast stones at every body. We can't all be as wholy as you kowboy. People like you make me sick. You are no better than that preacher, or the biggest drunk you ever met. You are the one that smells like they have been to hell. I can smell you from here.

Dingdongdoggie, you sure picked the right name for yourself. "By their works you shall know them". If someone is defiling their body it is sin. Smoking and drinking ['A little wine doeth the body good"][; it does read a litle,] defileth the body as does drugs, too much food, cursing, lusting and a lot of other things. Therefore it is wrong and to say so is not judging, but it is a fact. Even a "dingdongdoggie" should understand this fact of truth. A smoking preacer is a sorry example of one annointed by god to preach for: "He doth indeed stinketh". A smoking preacher who speaks against alcohol, drugs, lust,or any other sin must first dealwith hios own addiction and it is an adiction. He can be delovered from this addiction if he earnestly will ask god to deliver him from it. Most smoking preachers will still continue to preach against alcohol while he continues to pollute his body and his clothes will vile tobacco. Are ther any smoking preachers out there who can 'Biblically" defend smokng?
