It's not a merge, as you like to call it. JCS will be absorbed by the breathitt school system. This means JCS ceases to exist and submits all property and resources to breathitt...that has to eat at you snobby, rich, selective pupil teaching, elitist assh@les

they why didn't breathitt hire them then huh... regardless of what your pathetic attempt to start something the facts are facts, BCS's tests scores have been so low for so long they had to be taken over by the stat. 90% of the teachers at BHS leave school as soon as the first bell rings for the first bus load to leave. all the BCS staff cares about is money not your children idiots. I honestly can't think why you people can't see this. oh never mind you came from the BCS system./facepalm just shut up get off the internet and go kiss mike holcomes ass some more. that guy is a disease in this county.

Mike Holcomb is a good man that has helped many children at Breathitt High. His wife has worked beside him and she, too, has made a difference. If you have something negative to say about Mike Holcomb then you are one of the few. I don't know what time the teachers on the hill leave but it simply isn't any of your business when a teacher exits the building. You obviously have issues with previous experiences at Breathitt High School. I am sorry you feel so much negativity toward our school system. There were many reasons the state took over our system, test scores were just one of the contributing factors. I would suspect had Breathitt offered the BHS graduates at City a job at the time they were hired they would have joined our ranks. Having graduated in 97 means you have been out of high school for some time. Please tell us what you are doing now. Hopefully, you have a good job but you are not teaching. Your attitude would not be healthy in the classroom.

I think they should be put together so our children can learn more my husband graduated from Jackson in 1979 but before that he and his brother went to the county schools they didn't learn that much from the county schools like they did from the city school. If we had our children home they would be in the city school to learn more.

Thank you, Debbie. I couldn't have said it better. No one, and I mean no one, speaks ill of Mike Holcomb in this county. Every last person in this county thinks he is the best thing about Breathitt High. He has helped so many of them focus, not just on football, but also academics, to insure their is life after high school football and their 19th Birthday. Why he has even helped boys from the boot camp with the same. Hell, he has even ventured into Perry , Powell and other surrounding counties to help some of their boys with the same. In a lot if cases he has even help the families of these out of county boys by providing their parents with jobs at the board. What a saint. He reminds me of Doran Hostetler with all this love and generosity. Thank you Mike.

I mean nothing personally against Mike or Debbie, but should your high school's football coach really be the best thing about your school? I would think students who are making good grades, showing improvement with each passing year, who win competitions in academics on debate teams and academic teams, and the majority of whom at least try college after graduation should be the best thing about your school. A school system is only as good as the adults they are producing following graduation.

Sarcasm doesn't work so well without vocal inflection and body language.
