NOTICE:There are multiple high definition cameras hooked to multiple DVRs with large capacity hard drives recording at all times. The audio portion of the recordings is being done by multiple D104 (handmic) power mic's that can easily hear people's conversations for at least 50 ft., no problem.AND THATS JUST THE TIP OF THE ICEBERG AND IT IS ALL LEGAL. YOU CAN ALSO PURCHASE AND HAVE THIS TECHNOLOGY EASILY INSTALLED AT YOUR HOME OR BUSINESS.YOU CAN ALSO MAKE LIVE RECORDINGS WITH HIGH DEFINITION CAMCORDERS WITH HIGH CAPACITY MEMORY STICKS THAT HAS AUDIO AND VIDEO ALSO.THE GOOD PART ABOUT IT ALL IS IT HAS DATE/TIME GROUPS FOR PROOF OF ANY INCIDENT IN YOU PROPERTY'S AREA.

does this mean to the average citizen? Does that mean phone conversations are listened to? Or what?

I agree with this comment above.Where I come from,we try to keep our children off drugs.I think that cameras,DVR's and power microphones are the wave of the future cause they give you personal protection and a warning long in advance,so you prepare properly for any oncoming situation. In this bad economy, everyone that you see or find on your property is cosidered a threat. If you have children,or grandchildren, you should invest in this system. It will protect all of you. GOD bless you all in these bad times.

Yes it is possible you phone is tapped if you are doing something against the law.THIS OTHER STUFF HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH PHONE TAPS. BUT IF YOU ARE WITHIN 50 FT OF THE MICROPHONES YOU WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY RECORDED ON The DVR's.I hope you will get your act together and have a normal life and have a good time.Kentucky is a beautiful place stop trying to get high.

Can not legally record video or audio in public restrooms, or (video yes)(audio no) with people sitting in restaurants, or out on the streets, because they can't invade their privacy. You can use all the fancy words you want to scare people, but it won't scare me, because I know the law on this stuff. You can have surveillance equipment (video or audio) on your property, as long as it doesn't effect someone else's privacy or property, the equipment can't spy on somebody else or their prperty without their permission.

I agree with surveillance equipment, just as long it doesn't invade privacy. Let's say you're sitting in a restaurant with a client that's with a big company, and you been trying to sell a large order of parts to their company, would you want someone listen to your conversation? Of course you wouldn't, because that conversation is between you and your client. It's legal for the law to watch people on streets, and that's a good thing, because it help stop crime, but listening to their conversations isn't, because people talk business, they don't want people listening to them, what they have to say to other people.

No, not unless they think you're a terrorist, or you're breaking the law in some way. Bush started doing that, and he got in trouble for it.

I agree with you that you need to and it's your right to protect your business and children, and I agree with "really" also, but there is a limit to using surveillance equipment. If you install or have this equipment it installed, if for any reason, a consumer finds out you have been listening to their conversations, they can sue you, not counting hurting your business. It is illegal to listen to people's conversations, even in the best of contentions.

I like to add one more thing....if you jerkoffs think the government isn't watching...and...what you're posting on topix...just post a threat....especially one that has anything to do with security of this great nation...I'll show you how fast the FBI shows up on your front door steps....it doesn't matter if topix takes off the threat on this site...the FBI will already have it...as for as ISP addresses...the government already has them...when it come to Homeland Security...topix doesn't have a say in your ISP addresses...have a nice day...

DID YOU KNOW, The US Goverment has thousands of spy sattelite's and lots can see you live(moving)and in color up close and can even amplify your voice up in space and they can record all that too? Thats how the U.S. planned out BIN LADENS death.Big Brothers Watching! So I say WE should be able to use technology to protect our person, family and property as long as we do not infringe on the rights of innocent people. But if you are breaking the law in some way then I think this type of technology is a great deterrence and will help protect your civil rights.

The government can do these things and get away with it, and we can try the same thing and get in trouble for it.
