Even though doomsday didn't happen on December 21st, 2012, that doesn't mean it won't happen in the future. The bible does say only the Father [God} knows when the end times will come, and when he gets ready, he'll make it happen, maybe not in our time, but it will happen.

Everyday, one of us, or a whole family faces doomsday. Doomsday doesn't have to come in the form of the world ending, it can be because of a car, plane, bus, or a train crash. Doomsday can be in the form of falling off a house, cliff, drowning, or in a drive by shooting. If you look at it closely, doomsday is around the corner, and can happen at any time, or any place. If we worry about doomsday all the time, there won't be anything in our lives worth remembering.

I believe this person was referring to the asteroids that struck earth the other day.

I believe people worry so much about Doomsday because they fear death. When you fear something, of course you are going to worry about it. As Charlie said, Doomsday is going to come to us all. It might be in the total destruction of earth or it could come in the total destruction of the car you just drove into a tree. The fact is we are all going to die. I think to be totally happy you have to learn not to fear death. Death is as natural to us as is being born. There just simply isn't anything to fear. I think part of the problem comes from the fire and brimstone teachings of some religions. Many are taught that if you aren't good enough you will burn forever. That is scary to think about. Personally I don't believe in hell and I never have. I believe that all things are part of the Divine, or "God". I believe that the earth, moon, sun, and stars are a part of Divine. I believe that every living thing on earth or possibly even other planets are part of the Divine. I believe our spirits and the Divine are energy, and since energy is never created or destroyed, only changed, I believe that death is merely a metamorphosis that our souls go through, much like a caterpillar becomes a butterfly. Our human bodies may be gone, but the pure energy that is our essence is still alive and with the Divine source of all energy. In other words, we never truly "die". Just as "God"'s energy has always been and always will be, so is ours.

I know many of you won't agree with this. I don't expect you to, nor do I think we should all believe the same. My point is find something to believe in that helps you get over your fear of death then focus on living your life to the fullest. Our earthly life is a gift from "God" and we should enjoy every moment we can.

There are people who fear everything from [A to Z], and they call it either "Panophobia, Panphobia, Pamphobia, and or Pantophobia". I once knew a man who feared insects and worms. If any bug or worm got on him, or got too close to him, he would panic ferociously. It's actually dangerous for someone to have Phobias, especially when driving. Doomsday Phobias are very real to some people, and when they hear about asteroids coming too close to earth, most of them panic.

There will be many days of doom for those who are not prepared when Christ comes for his bride. You may not do it now, but " every knee shall bow and every tongue confess, that Jesus Christ is Lord" If you have not yet come to that realization, remember this, you will spend eternity somewhere, where you spend it is up to you.

If that makes you feel better about death, then go for it.
