I'm surprised they didn't send him to Club Fed in Ashland, where Bunt Gross went when he had to spend time in the federal system.

Arch is 200 miles from Breathitt County. That is not far enough away.I wished the would have sent him to Alaska or Hawaii. The farther that crook is away the better off we all are.

Federal prison is not where u will find big bubba. Those type of inmates are in a state prison. Federal prison is quite different. White collar criminals for the most part, dirty politicians, dirty cops, embezzlers, that type of thing. Rapist and murders are in state prisons. Typically federal inmates do not have long sentences therefore, they dont do anything to jeoperdize their release. Hell, the federal prison in manchester has a fifty foot salad bar, no bars or cell doors, more like dorm rooms, the inmates are free to walk wherever they want on campus until count times, they are allowed to spend the entire day with visitors and hang out together in a big room with pop machines and snack machines or outside. They play baseball and other sports. They have bands and have concerts and church. All kinds of things. Its more like a college campus than a prison.

Bullshit. What about the real long sentences that John David(Dave)Haddix and his drug addicted son Gregory Haddix recieved from the feds? They both got 25 and 20 years federal time. There are many Big Bubbas in federal prison of all races. One of them made Arch his new(old) bioch.

I have family that are co's in the federal system. Let me tell you, some of the most harden criminal are in that system. It is more than just white collar criminals. Not to mention all the gangs you have. You have the more violent gangs located in the federal system. You have murders, rapist, drug dealers as well as those white collar criminals. Manchester has a min security prison attached to the medium security. This min security is more like a camp than a prison facility. Most of the federal prisons in kentucky have min security camps attached to them.

Yep I was there and it was a federal prison camp. It was pie. I think since I actually spent a year there that i would know a little more about it than you. It was easy time. You can call me all the bad names, yes clearly I was a criminal, i was in prison. i dont give a crap who knows it. another guy at manchester had been in the federal prison in ashland and he said it was nice there also. yeah the camps are easier than max. security. I wasnt behind the fence at that one but i had a job at the camp that sent me over there to get supplies for the kitchen and it was actually nice. so hell if it makes you feel better to think arch is in some old state prison like you see on tv where they only get water and bread go ahead. i dont care. hell i never liked him anyway but im just telling you what is was like to actually be there but as usual you people dont like to be told anything different than what you believe. who cares

I didn't say they wasn't nice places, just harden criminals there. From my understanding federal prisoners are some of the most pampered prisoners around. They have anything and everything they want. Including satellite radio in Inez since they can't get regular radio to pick up enough stations to suit the prisoners. I personally think that if we made prisons less attractive to criminals, they would be less likely to be repeat criminals. I don't know your history or really care as long as you learn from your mistakes. But you sound like most of the criminals I have worked with in the past. So what, it is a vacation. If I get caught again it will be no big deal.

no it wasnt a vacation and no dont want to go back and havnt been back. it was over six years ago since i was there and have been a good citizen since. its true that it wasnt a bad place and i was treated well but the fact remains that you cant leave or be home with your family. so what i am saying is that it is better than state prison although i have never been in state i do know people who have. the feds take much better care of ya but they only pick up certain cases so they are not overcrowded like state pens and they have more money. the entire time i was there, there was no fights or anyone being hurt in any way. my roomate was a cop or a former cop and the next cell mate over was a guy who was in there for tying a rattlesnake to a pot plant and it had bitten a cop. he had one of the longest sentences in there which was seven years. people with real long sentences either go in the medium security or max. security prisons. arch is probably in a camp like i was in.

I am glad that you learned your lesson and haven't been a repeat offender. You are one in a thousand or so I would say.
You are also lucky that you never had any trouble. But that isn't the way it is in the prison. I have a family member that worked in McCreary that was attacked badly by an inmate. The inmate attacked two CO's and both had to be flown out to Lexington. Thankfully nothing was broken or hurt. Just a couple of nasty cuts that needed a few stitches. The system transfered the inmate to Inez. What that inmate didn't know, is the CO he attacked had been transfered from Inez just about a year earlier and still had buddies there. Needless to say that guy was not any better off. This guy was in prison for drugs and robbery and other crimes committed altogether the guy was in prison for over 90 years, he had nothing to loose to attack the CO's. Plus he was a gang member.
