I hope they manage to have the festival as normal. I've been there when I lived on the east coast and enjoyed it. I've also been to some Colombian Independence Day festivals in NJ and FL and enjoyed them as well. Good luck!!

My grandparents came here to put the past behind them and move on. Their children were a total of eleven standard US citizens all of whom spoke without an accent.

Only one of the eleven returned, as a tourist, to one of the "old countries".

He thought it was mostly a dump and was eternally grateful that his parents had left.

His only commitment to his "heritage" was to buy Frank Sinatra albums.
